Does that include the Sparks whose next game is at home where they seem to win and the other team gets a lot of foul calls?

there is always a first for everything.
when lebron's cleveland was down 1-3 championship series against the warriors. history said no team ever came back down 1-3 without the home court advantage.
well, lebron did. winning two games on the road.
oh shit, i just jinx the sparks. now candace parker really gonna be the super hero, wanting to carry her team to against the odds all by herself.

Connecticut is the better team ... more weapons, more athletic, better coached.
Of course, now that I said that, L.A. will roar back and win the series ...

Connecticut is certainly better coached. I'm not convinced about the rest. If a Curt Miller clone was coaching LA, they'd probably be winning the series.

Interesting ... and perhaps true.
But youth will be served in basketball, and I think Connecticut is younger at every starting spot except point guard, and off the bench.
And the pieces in L.A. still don't quite fit together. There are three power forwards, no center, and really, no small forward.

I’d say the Sparks have more centers than that oddly constructed Mystics team.

The Sun play better as a team yes but come on now the Sparks are loaded with talent.
2 former MVP's in Parker and Nneka, one of the best PG s in the world, Chiney would be a starter on atleast half of the teams. Baybay a potential 6th player of the year candidate, 2 young upcoming posts.
Problem is that they are not a balanced team. Too postheavy.

OK, interesting discussion:
PG: Gray > Thomas -- different kinds of players with different kinds of roles, but so far Gray has not outplayed Thomas. Presumably, over the long haul, Gray proves superior.
SG: Courtney > Riquna -- younger, faster, more versatile. Riquna's good, no question, but I'll take Courtney, and I think most people would.
SF: Stricklen = Ruffin-Pratt -- but I think some would say Stricklen is better. PER says Stricklen is 12.9, R-P 8.6 (I double-checked to make sure I read it right), though PER doesn't credit R-P's defense enough.
PF: Parker > Thomas? -- The reputation says Parker, the skills say Parker, but age and "spryness" say Thomas, as does performance in the first two games. In a pickup game for $5,000 tonight, who here picks Parker over Alyssa?
C: Nneka = Jones -- I guess, but even though Nneka is really good, she's giving up a lot of size. I think some would rather have Jones, but let's call it even.
Bench: LA > Conn -- No question here. Only Bria Holmes brings much to the table for the Sun ... LA has many more weapons.
Talent-wise, maybe a slight edge to LA, especially given the bench, but it's not substantial. And a case could be made that right now, this Sunday, Connecticut has more ...

Im not a Parker fan but she is a lot better then A Thomas. And almost everyone would choose her if you need to choose between the both of them.
AT is playing with 2 hurt shoulders so spryness shouldnt be a reason why she would outplay Parker. Its all heart and effort something that i always miss with Parker.
There are just no excuses for Parker being outplayed by AT who cant even lift her arms above her head or shoot normally.. AT is not better or more talented she just wants it more
Nneka has shown that she can be a consistent scorer and defender in this league. And she has been for years.
Jones has soooo much potential but just hasnt lived up to that potential and hasnt been consistent. Last year she had the Chiney excuse but what is the excuse now?
Ill take Nneka over JJ
Also because the balance on the Sparks isnt right you cant really compare their talent by comparing positions.
Talentwise
Depends on who you think is the suns best playerbut i think you can switch their 3 best players around and the Sparks best 3 players are individually still better.
Parker > Jones
Nneka > AT
Gray > Williams
Chiney > J. Thomas
Baybay > Stricklen
Vadeeva >bria holmes/ Morgan Tuck or whoever you thinkis best from the suns bench
Brown>Tuck
And you can go on
