Someone mentioned a while back she was still recovering from her injury, so that's likely the case.

Lynx announced Sims will be temporarily suspended for the season. Bridget Carleton has finally appeared on the team's roster.

| Reeve talks about seriously limiting Fowles minutes this season, and yet she rosters 4 post players, including “limited minutes” Fowles, one Brazilian national player (hottest COVID outbreak country), one rookie who is more of a SF, and one training camp contract that should have never made the team. What could possibly go wrong? Can Taylor get his money back on that extension?

If Dantas can't come over, Collier will be forced to start at PF. I do wonder what other post Reeve could look at. Carleton can easily be replaced before a season begins.

| In one of the other threads (NY 2020?) it was posted that pro athletes from overseas would be allowed in, so Dantas is probably able to come, if she is not already here.

Yeah, but that hasn’t stopped other international players from sitting out.
I wonder how long Reeve has been sitting on Shepard sitting out the WHOLE season. That’s not like a last minute type of decision. Has she been secretly plotting to play small ball like her protege Hopkins? That would be so Reeve.

She is on a protected deal, but she has to show up to get paid - I think she will, esp. since Brazil is the only country with worse virus control than the US right now.

Brazil has just had a large spike in COVID-19 cases which makes me doubt if Dantas will be able to come over.

I assume she has family to worry about.
Even if she does play, it’s still a team inadequate in the post, for someone who is not a fan of small ball.

Huff? Why not give Mompremier a shot? I can imagine Reeve’s sales pitch for Huff. “Any player Curt Miller signs and cuts must be good.”
Reeve’s execution this season has been horrendous.
At least she signed a post player instead of another 3/2, for a more balanced roster.

Well that's definitely a take.
I don't blame any foreign players for not coming over this year, and would not make any decisions based upon whether they do or they don't.
But if people want to get rid of a promising 24 year old because...reasons?...more power to you.
