Per Fever PR, Natalie Achonwa (right hamstring) and Victoria Vivians (right knee) are OUT tomorrow against Los Angeles. Erica Wheeler is still not with the team. Fever with only 9 available players.

Stanley mentioned that she expects Cox to play "some" minutes tonight.

Erica Wheeler is expected to leave for the wubble next week and could be available as early as next weekend. She's the last player to arrive to the bubble.

FEVER INJURY REPORT
Victoria Vivians - Probable (Right Knee)
Natalie Achonwa - Out (Right Hamstring)
Stephanie Mavunga - Out (Facial Injury)
Erica Wheeler - Out (WNBA Medical Protocol)
I wonder if they'd considering signing Warley-Talbert to a 7-day contract if 3/4 will be out for a while?

I love seeing that nothing serious happened to Vivians’ knee. Poor Fever, though - hope everyone returns to action soon.
As for maybe signing AWT, if they really need a practice body they could use her, but like I said way back when she signed with Vegas originally, she hasn’t been serviceable in this League in years (arguably 2012). Can’t say I truly understand why Laimbeer wanted to give her another go, despite her familiarity with his plays from their time together in New York.

That's the thing with signing AWT, she'd be a body and insurance. Only her & Bentley are available immediately.

Having looked at box scores for the past few games, I wondered what Coach Marianne Stanley is doing with her players, lineups, and minutes.
At first glance, it seemed odd that Teaira McCowan does not play as many minutes as one would expect, especially for a budding young talent, whereas Candice Dupree appears to be playing tons of minutes, notwithstanding the fact she just turned 36 years old and is not the franchise's future.
Digging deeper into the numbers...
McCowan is averaging 21.1 minutes per game (fifth on the Fever). In those minutes, she is averaging 9.7 points and 7.3 rebounds. Foul trouble does not appear to be a factor (zero games with 5 or 6 total fouls; only one early game against Dallas when it appeared to influence the minutes).
In last night's game against Seattle, Indiana only had eight players available. McCowan played 18 minutes (4 points, 11 rebounds), but Stanley opted to play Dupree 36 minutes.
I understand Lauren Cox only playing 14.1 minutes per contest, as she missed four games working through medical protocol.
But McCowan / Cox / Kelsey Mitchell / Allemand appear to be the core youth movement of the team going forward, with Achonwa being a solid sixth person to add depth and the jury still being out on Victoria Vivians. Erica Wheeler will be 30 next year - which I believe is the last year of her contract.
So I pose the question - for what purpose is Indiana not playing certain core players for its future in favor of extended minutes for the veteran? Keep in mind that Indiana is not a title contender this year or a candidate to make any meaningful impact in the playoffs.

There are some matchups where she just looks too slow and clunky. When she looks good, she looks very good, but especially when she plays against posts who spend a lot of time outside the key, her defense is pretty bad.
