I've pretty much missed the entire weekend's action & news... what's the word on Hartley?
Not that it likely matters much against the Lynx but injuries suck and she's been one of the positives for the Merc this season.

She's out for the game, but beyond that status unknown.

Hopefully it's a short term thing. As a college, Hartley looked like she was going to be Uconn's next premiere player. She was an All American as a sophomore, which I believe had only been accomplished by Taurasi and Moore at the time. Then she got injured early her junior year.

She's never looked like the same player or the player she could potentially be until this year. I'm sure some of it is the right setting for her, but it also just looked like she overcame a mental hurdle that had been there for years. (Or..her ankles were just a constant nagging injury that she was never truly healthy from until this year)

Hoping for the best. She's been great this year. I've been so happy for her.

Have heard nothing further either in the local press or otherwise. That includes watching all the games yesterday and not a word.

Hartley's done for the season. Yet to say exactly what the injury is.

51-36 Mercury at the half

Taurasi looking like Taurasi of the past.
17 pts, 7 reb, 1 ast

How does Taurasi get 7 reb in a half against the Lynx?
That’s about a week’s worth of rebounds for her.

Since it was the maybe the 2nd or 3rd time in history the Lynx scored at the end of a quarter instead of giving up 2 points when having the ball to end a quarter, anything is possible!

No team could withstand a bombing like that first half from the Mercury!

I was hoping for a blowout in OUR favor so the starters could get some rest for tomorrow’s game. Reeve probably was too. The game tomorrow is probably playing with Reeve’s head. Should she give up on this game early to save it for tomorrow night, or should she put max effort to win this one. I say max effort on this one and worry about tomorrow when the time comes. The Sparks still have to play tonight too. Go Dream!

At least starter Dangerfield is getting plenty of rest. Confused

We look pretty bad when DT is sitting but the Lynx so far haven't shown much interest in taking advantage of it
