And after 3 quarters the score is 2-0 Indy.

The points were scored when Mavunga successfully in-bounded the ball to McCall and McCall actually shot and made a basket.

NY had the opportunity to tie the game on two free throws when Pokey received a technical right after the McCall shot for coming on the court and slapping her own player.

Unfortunately NY couldn't convert on the technical foul as Charles' first free throw hit the shot clock and her second one miraculously slipped out of her hand hitting one of the refs in the face.

we are looking forward to the fourth quarter where it seems Indy will be starting Kea, Burke, S, Johnson in a body cast, a giant foam finger and an ear of corn. While NY's starters will be Boyd, Gray with an additional 100 pounds of extensions, Han Xu, a pigeon and a cardboard cutout of Maddie.

For someone who's pretty thorough about board content, I guess you didn't catch where I actually gave this game a name, which in fact was inspired by you the last time we had a Lottery Bowl.

Awesome. Smile After the game, Katie announces that the pigeon has been signed to a 2 year deal.

I agree today's game will be a debacle on the court...and yes fans will be preferring a lib loss...

But OFF the court I like the fans pick the playlist today and the best dressed contest (which I am entering lol) spoon t shirt etc

Think there may be more but this year is the first time since BLAZE imho the extra mile was made to make FAN night about the fans

Love it looking forward to that...honestly likely won't even be watching much of the game

Brass is in Springfield with spoon as they should be so well

Ionescu for the loss!!!!!!!!

Should be the Liberty's last game (ever) in Westchester.

I don’t think Pokey has been sweating the odds. They’ve been decently competitive lately. The Fever are 4-6 in their last 10 whereas the Liberty are 1-9.

Last year Pokey had the best odds at #1 and ended up with the worst possible outcome, the #3 pick, which arguably could become the best long term player.

My guess is Pokey would rather have a dominating win over the Liberty as an indicator of the future and let fate determine what happens with the second best odds of #1.

Maybe Pokey just thinks she'd be fine with either Ionescu or Cox, so she figures she needs to save her job (or help her find the next one) by winning some games. I'm going with Indy on this one.

I haven't seen much let-up from Indiana. As far as NY goes, they sat Charles for one game but were actually more competitive against CT than in their previous game against the Sun. Then on Tuesday against Washington, NY's bench far outplayed their starters. It's a fair comparison because Washington was shorthanded and mostly used only 6 players. So, it wouldn't shock me to see business as usual for Indiana, and with NY it probably doesn't matter what they do. Laughing

Otherwise I think the fan base gives up for good

Thankfully there is no indication they will be back in wcc

On replay the ball was actually tipped by Han Xu, but the refs couldn't tell the difference between McCalls arm flail and her shooting motion.

Pokey is probably sweating her job more than the lottery odds

That would sort of imply that Katie Smith isn’t sweating her job.

The more obsessed would say it’s pokey and Katie’s job to get that #1 pick.

Remember what happened with Amber Stocks? She repped the Sky at the draft lottery. After she came home with #4, she got canned. If she were lucky enough to get #1, would she have kept her job? Probably not, but that would be petty sending her to the draft lottery knowing they were going to fire her no matter what.

Welp, it's about that time. Rooting for an Indiana win Very Happy

Is the first syllable of Johannès' (last) name really pronounced like "joe" or is it supposed to be "yo"? I feel like I've heard both... I should trust the commentators' "joe" but I just can't Laughing

MJ23 with the double Eurostep. That should make the highlight reel.

"Joe" is correct. It's definitely not "Yo" - which would be the German way to pronounce it. It's also not the soft J like you find in bonjour. Just good ol' Joe.

ESPN's Gamecast on the app has Kelsey Mitchell as having taken 8 free throws in a row, without anybody getting called for a foul... That can't be right, can it?
