The Sky closeout the season playing the top two teams in the league on the road. Beautiful. I was hoping that the Sky could win one more game and finish the season with twenty wins. I doubt that will happen.

But you know how we do! Beat the teams no one expects us to and struggle against the ones we should beat easily! Confused

Keep hope alive! Very Happy It would be great if the adrenaline and momentum from Sunday's final regular season home game win lasted during this week. If so, we can pick up where we left off and beat these folks who have been a thorn in our side too many times!

Chicago is a different team with Ndour starting. They now have a post player who can match up with the other mobile frontcourt players (Jones, Parker, EDD)..... I believe Chicago is a legit threat to win the Championship. They just need to avoid Fowles/Sims in the postseason. Minnesota is the worst possible matchup for Chicago. They have a dominant post player and a pg who can cause problems for Sloot on both sides of the ball.

Chicago can beat any team, but Minnesota would be a bad match up.

If the standings stay like this, Chicago has a fighting chance of advancing to the semis if they beat Phoenix at home (if they can) and make it to Vegas, since Vegas is sort of freefalling at the worst possible time... for them.

Nobody here is interested in the Sky's chance to get a bye week if they win their games? They're playing against teams at the top, but those teams aren't playing for anything like a playoff bye.

The playoffs begin now for the Sky! Their opponents are certainly playoff-caliber. Smile

What are the tiebreakers between the Sky and the current 3-4 seeds?

Both the Sparks and Aces hold the head-to-head tiebreakers over the Sky, which is why most have reasonably locked them in at the 5 seed at this point. And the Sky would have to start with winning both of these games to have a chance at a Top-4 seed.

Meanwhile, the Mystics are a game up on the Sun, but since the Sun hold the tiebreaker over the Mystics, both of these teams might be taking their last couple games seriously.

Even if they don't have the tiebreaker, only 3 games have to go their way to get that bye. Likely? No, but not that crazy. Definitely something to root for if you're a Sky fan.

Hey, at this point, the Aces could definitely lose to Phoenix (though neither team looks good at the moment). So if the Sky indeed win these last two, that in & of itself will prove they're a championship-caliber team, let alone likely propel them into the 4 seed.

...But that remains a mighty big "if."

IF the Sky win, the Mystics will have nothing to play for in their last game...

I’m not seeing it. But you were right about Ndour and a bunch of other things so I’ll trust your judgement.. Very Happy

I love seeing this Vandersloot-DeShields-Williams perimeter have the success they're having, even if the Sky don't win tonight. Really gives the Sky that balance there...

No foul call on that C. Williams 3 attempt that time. Sky up 6 with 42 sec left Shocked

I think all of the top seeds have a weakness.

Washington-Health
LA- Inconsistent shooting from the wing positions
LV- Unproven and inconsistent (Chicago falls into this category)
Conn- Unproven in the playoffs...No real go to scorer.

It's not that Chicago is great, I just think the top seeds are all flawed.
