that could have been me. i was born in the philippines, on clark air base, while my father, a captain in the air force and a tuskegee airman, served - and died - in the korean war. this is, as one veteran spokesman said in the story, abominable.

i stand corrected. this wouldn't have impacted me because of my parents' citizenship and the time they lived in the states. i was so seeing red when i read this, and it's still a dangerous sign of a slippery slope.
