This in my view is a needed win for NY standings-wise, if that's anyone's concern. Not having Stokes has changed the picture for me somewhat, especially given their worst defensive performance of the year against Chicago. Tonight's game is still one they should win. They're putting way more talent on the floor than Seattle, but Seattle is coached up to the point where they're still number one in the league in defense putting Mercedes Russell out as the starting C. We'll see what happens. Worst in the league in defense again. Not feeling confident that is going to sort itself out. At least for tonight, Zahui's presence should help against Russell, who had a great game against NY last time.

Storm have no chance against anyone if Howard doesn't play.

Agreed. Langhorne starts and Paris would have to play 20-25 minutes with Paris & Russell on the floor together for certain stretches.

Agreed! And it's no big loss, either.

I am not up to date on current events. What is wrong with Stokes?

Durr not starting (again). Let's see if she plays tonight. Hartley starting again at SG.

Welp, I'll sit this one out. Haven't missed a Storm game on league pass all season, but I can't do it today. I wonder if Fain and Woodward will have anything to say about it, or if it will be an elephant in the room.

Sims and Williams are still playing, so it’s literally no surprise that Howard is._________________

Yeah, not surprised at all. I guess I was holding out hope the Storm would lead the charge somehow. If they even can with no charges filed.
I can't watch LA either.

Liberty shot only 8 attempts that quarter. Half of our points came from FTs.

8 TOs. 5 offensive rebounds yielded. Somehow still only down 7.

Is it too late to possibly trade Hartley? Hartley to Dallas for a bag of chips?

Infuriating first half. 14 turnovers. 8 offensive rebounds yielded. Langhorne with three 3s in a game for the first time in her career and it's only halftime. Watching your favorite team beat itself with repeated physical and mental mistakes is beyond frustrating. Against a really good team NY would be down 30.
How many times are we going to watch Boyd attempt a 5-foot bounce pass to a post player? If you don't have a space difference between the offensive players, guess who else there's going to be a lot of in that area? Defensive players. That type of pass is one that Boyd makes repetitively. I'm sick of it. Bad turnovers give teams better looks going the other way. They can shoot in rhythm because they are sometimes wide open. Thus, players like Langhorne suddenly make 3 in a row.
I'm really aggravated at this point. And I know Johannes is new, and you don't want to mess with rotations. I know she may not know all the plays yet...although I'm willing to bet she might. She certainly appears to know them better than Gray, who once again had to be gestured to in order to cut and screen in the right place...this time by Nurse...whose body language afterward showed a great deal of frustration. But at this point, there's no way the team can possibly function worse with Johannes on the floor than it is with Boyd and Hartley.
Zahui hasn't played that well either so maybe there's some travel fatigue involved but whatever. If Hartley and Boyd can't do the job let's get people in who at least have a chance to. Readiness for the WNBA isn't a problem for Johannes, so playing her minutes should not be an issue.
14 freaking TOs. It looks like we are playing a preseason game. Incredibly we are still only down 13.
