Hopefully the Mercury can help end the Lynx's losing streak like they did with the Sun's.

I think the chances are good. We generally seem to crap our pants when we play in MN.

Or the Mercury turn into a bunch of 2-year old kids who are afraid of monsters and don't know how to play basketball. Smile

Sancho didn’t suffer a major knee injury, but her and DT are doubtful.

Glad to hear Sancho's isn't that serious.
Diana Taurasi, Sancho Lyttle doubtful for Mercury's game at Minnesota

She’s clearly easily injured. I’d almost be fine with not playing her until the playoffs. Laughing

Interesting that Reeve is only going 7 deep tonight(so far). Wonder if Augustus and/or Dantas will be back for their next game?

I think this broadcaster is pretty good.

Since they’re using the radio broadcaster, it’s probably the stadium feed. Not sure why this game didn’t rate a bigger production.

Yeah, the broadcaster is very good. The broadcast itself is very lacking.

But I agree, the play-by-play has been solid.

The energy in this building is amazing! We are sitting in the middle of a bunch of Brazilian soccer player kids, (about 50, here for the Schwanns cup) and one of their coaches is extremely into the game and has gotten quite a few of the kids into it as well.

That's got to be it. Makes sense. Very bad decision for a game that is being broadcast on Fox and for a league that is trying to build.

Well at least we're consistent. Rolling Eyes 48 boards to 24. Yeesh!

Agree with Tally that the in-game replays are annoying as hell, but the broadcast was otherwise good. And I always appreciate getting some post-game stuff rather than having the stream cut off the moment the game is over.

Alanna Smith has been a disappointment. I didn't think she'd be a star, but 20% shooting isn't what anyone expected.

She is just a rookie. A lot of college players are not ready for the physical nature of the W. It takes them a season or more to make that adjustment.

She hasn’t really been thrown in the fire yet either. She has taken close to 30 shot attempts this whole season.

What I would like to see is more opportunities for rookies to contribute. The offense is extremely stagnant which is partly on the makeup of the roster. There is little to no flow and movement like we’ve seen before.

I get that Taurasi is out but what is the future beyond Diana? I hope to everything that the Mercury win the title this year because a reload with youth is becoming necessary. Wasting Griner’s talent with aging rosters doesn’t seem ideal but I get that it isn’t exactly easy to snag players.

A reload with youth is what you got this year. You even got rid of Talbot (to the delight of Reeve) to make room for an extra rookie.

So..out of curiosity, and..not like I have a particular player in mind here, if say..a player was to get a technical foul when they weren’t playing, would that count against the season total? Laughing

Hahahaha. Nice.

And yes.

Augustus got one earlier this season from the bench.
