Joey Chestnut won his 12th title and Miki Sudo her sixth in the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island.

Chestnut scarfed down 71 dogs, three less than the world record he set last summer, but 20 ahead of the second place finisher. Sudo gobbled 31 on the distaff side, 10 less than her record, and blamed the heat for her lack of appetite.
