The magazine will stop publishing new content after its next issue. Any new issues will feature previously released content with a new cover. |

In a way, I'm bummed out about this. But if I'm being honest, it's been a long time since I've given much thought to the magazine much less bought an issue. |

Same.
I'm bummed in a lost-childhood kind of way.

I remember well when it first hit the magazine racks. There had never been anything like it, and maybe there never has been since. But, like others, I haven't looked at it in decades. It reminds me of a gone time when there was something other than mean-spirited political put-down humor. |

Like many others, I lived for that mag "back in the day".

as with so many aging celebrities i loved back in the day, i thought the magazine was long dead. but it was my favorite magazine, one i read from cover to cover, cherished and archived. spy vs. spy was my fave.

I picked up a copy a couple of years ago for some nostalgia. It was NOT the same magazine we all remember. Spy vs Spy was no more. It had been replaced with Spy vs Spy vs Spy, where the 3rd spy was female and always won. It was a hodgepodge of color and black & white. Half of the magazine was ads. And it was a liberal whine / hate fest like I had never seen before. I was SO disgusted with what it had become. Mean spirited, political put-down humor is exactly what that magazine had become. Not surprised that others obviously felt that way too. I'm glad to hear that it has finally been put out to pasture.
