Shao Ting has looked good these past two games. Have to wonder why Reeve hasn't given her minutes previously.

Because she didn't need to.

Ting has looked serviceable at best the last two games, both against weak opponents.

She has not looked better than the other options out there, and would still rather be playing Collier at the 3 and Shepard and Dantas at the 4.

Pretty understandable if you look at the numbers and watch the games. She is constantly being held and beat down on the post and hasn't been getting calls at all this season. Occasionally missing things is one thing, but it's been game in and game out for her, so it's got to be getting old as hell.

I like it better when every little foul isn't called. Just adjust to it. More blocks over fouls being called in the post.

She gives as good as she gets.

Oh, I'm sure she does. But that doesn't change the frustration factor when the refs are basically allowing her to be neutralized for significant stretches of the game by not calling fouls. It's just an understandable reaction.

Not a salary thing but a too many rookies they wanted to keep thing.
Rookies are cheap for 4 years under the current CBA.

I thought it was a salary thing. Just like dumping and re-signing of FLB.

Sometimes there are players that really play better when they start. Talbot is one of them. She needs that confidence.

She put up solid numbers in those games that she started for the Mercury. Great addition for the Lynx

At $43.3K, she’s actually cheaper than either of the first round rookies they kept and slightly more expensive than Cunningham.
