Chuck Noland was the name of the character played by Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Anyone who has seen the show would know the relevance of Wilson.

I was thinking about that movie too. 'Wilson" could have just as easily been a basketball called "Spaulding." I wonder how much they got paid by Wilson to feature their product.....
