it's interesting that for Xinjiang in China that Han Xu is being used more as a 4 with Kalani Brown as their starting center.

Maggie Lucas continues to rack up point, but her team keeps losing. Her picture looks like mug shot.

I wish these games were on youtube or something - with all these bigs putting up the big numbers it would be fun to watch.

It's good to see Han finally play a whole game. Previously, she was sharing the 4 with two other players. At times, she was playing less than 20 mpg and not doing very well. I was afraid this was going to be another lost season for her.

You could watch them, although you may have to do the opposite of what everyone else is trying to do and VPN your way into China.

awhom111 - have you heard anything about Angel signing with any overseas team? She is medically cleared now, but I haven't heard anything.

I heard that some fans out there want her for their teams. Didn't she decided that she was done with overseas before her injury? Of course she may have something to prove now, but I don't know how many good gigs are available.

I do recall she said something a few ago about not going overseas again, but in recent interview one of the Dream owners did say they expected Angel would be going overseas. Could have just been speculation from them, but they would know more than most others.

Maybe you’re confusing overseas with the Olympics?
Quote:
She said while her future with the Dream is unclear, her time in the league isn’t, saying she’ll play until she’s 50.

“After this season we’ll see,” she said.

And with the 2020 Olympics around the corner, the two-time Olympian hopes to join the women’s national team in Tokyo next year.

Collen knows the veteran has her eyes set on the Games, which is why she’s hesitant to play her too soon.

“Angel needs to take care of Angel right now,” she said.

No I'm not. Statement in the press from Mary Brock:

https://www.ajc.com/sports/dream-owners-look-future-that-doesn-include-state-farm-arena/Cj8a2omttvjnSCF1nwMMdO

Quote:
“The question is her health. She will play, I’m sure, overseas and she’s a free agent at the end of the season. Nothing would make us happier than for everything to work out for Angel and that she’s healthy again and she can be a part of the Atlanta Dream. Certainly, every team needs someone like an Angel.”

The article was linked in the Dream 2020 thread.

“I’m sure” sounds like assuming rather than solid information. Only McCoughtry knows for sure and she might not be too sure herself.

Well, if I understand you correctly, I agree that Angel really has as much right to get into the Team USA Rehab Center for the Elderly as any of the team's other senior citizens. Heck - she played in more games than Bird this year and completed all of her games on the bench (unlike Taurasi who made some early exits).

I guess we're being very literal with the term "bench minutes." Smile
