As usual, I will start this with the WKBL Draft:
http://www.womensbasketball247.com/2018/06/2018-wkbl-draft/
Each team will only get one foreign player this season so the draft was half as big. I have not seen anything about pay, but I can't imagine that it would be any lower than the usual $25,000 a month net. |

I'd imagine and assume that Ji-Su Park will be playing in the WKBL?

It looks like all of the teams are owned by or sponsored by financial institutions. Any insight into why that is the case? Is it simply a matter of rivalry between the banks or something?

I think it has just evolved that way over time. There were other companies involved at some point and the men's league has a bit more variety. All six banks are pretty huge though so I guess it is good that they are making the investment.

She's supposed to be returning to the Stars (ironically). I have seen reports that her pay is being bumped up in line with some of the better paid players to around $180,000 which I am assuming is also net. |

I assume it's just the usual name-change for someone, but who the hell are Carolo? |

Carolo is the club name for Charleville-Mezieres. The French League websites usually just refer to them as Charleville just like they still call ASVEL Lyon after the rebrand or when they spell out Villeneuve or Lattes Montpellier. FIBA usually calls them Carolo or Flammes Carolo. I know that I somewhat inconsistently switch between the two. |

Ah okay, thanks. And yes, France can get especially confusing with all those lettery acronyms. |

Are games being played now in Spain at the exhibition level?

Is there a list somewhere of who is playing where? Did I miss it?

I don't think there's a single giant masterlist anywhere, but obviously the summaries awhom111 links to here often have familiar names as the high-scorers. A lot of the teams also post items about how their players are doing overseas, and this twitter account - https://twitter.com/womenhoops - has posted the squads for a lot of teams for the upcoming season. |

Thanks, I seem to remember the WNBA website having each roster listed with overseas clubs. Or am I mistaken?

Lynx should give her a training camp contract. I thought it was Whalen in the picture. Probably only Rebkell super fans would know the difference.

I wouldn’t mind the Lynx making a play for Meesseman with the #6 pick. I think Meesseman would like the idea of playing with Maya. She reached MVP level for the first time (that I know of) playing with Maya. They showed good chemistry.
I think the only other Belgium player who could get an invite is probably #13 Linskens.

Well, the WNBA website is the WNBA website so who knows...
I will check with Mo and see if she is planning on compiling a list. Obviously she's been pretty busy until recently, but she is going to try and provide a lot more unique content this offseason.
I will be honest and say that I barely pay attention to what team anybody will be on until games start. |

Jonquel Jones is apparently now Bosnian, by the way. Seems like a missed opportunity for bigger European nations like Spain if she was fishing around for a Euro passport. Might mean the occasional missed week of WNBA participation if Bosnia-Herzegovina can qualify for EuroBasket Women tournaments. |

Odd when an All-star caliber player picks a third tier basketball team to play for. Spain, Russia, Serbia would have been better choices. Kind of like when Vandersloot picked Hungary or when Kristi Toliver picked Slovakia.
