Sky looking like the Storm last season. Lots of people predicted the Storm would be a lottery team last season and then they took off. Don't think they're title contenders, but they're definitely the surprise team of the season so far.

We'll see about Chicago, but anyone who picked a team with three No. 1 picks to make the lottery shouldn't be allowed to make predictions.

Exclamation

With the addition of Howard, if you honestly predicted the Storm to miss the playoffs last year then wow..

Or shouldn’t allowed to be a GM? How do you feel about this, SpaceJunkie? Smile

Chicago needs to invest the effort and try to win tonight's game. The next two games are against the two best teams in the league. I doubt if the Sky will win either game.

I think they should give her another game off just to see how McCowan responds.

It's funny that Chicago's surge coincides with the benching of Gabby and injury to Samuelson, the two top picks Chicago seriously blew. Gabby now properly comes off the bench as a "position-less" player to fill whatever role is needed at the time. She has no WNBA position, which everyone except Chicago knew before she was selected. If she places entire focus of her training on shooting, she might earn increased floor time eventually, as others - such as Kayla Thornton - have done.

Katie Lou needs to focus on strength training and injury prevention so she can earn floor time and take advantage of her shooting. Right now she's providing what she provided UConn - a shooter on the bench during crunch time.

By contrast, Cheyenne Parker - who was also a "head scratching" pick several years ago - has developed into a highly useful player and a key to Chicago's surge. And we must give credit to Chicago for the DDS pick as she's a crucial component to the Sky's current success.

Coach Wade realized Gabby isn't a PF. That was a major blunder by Stocks last year when they should have drafted Stevens. Now she's their default backup PG. Not sure where Samuelson fits either as Copper has improved and is now the backup SG & SF.

The tongue of the wise makes good use of knowledge, but the mouth of the stupid blurts out foolishness.

Sky' offense is sloppy. Should be a closer game.

Laney looks like she could be the Indiana version of Thornton. Nice energy out there.

Miller lets another decent player slip through his fingers.

I was on the phone while watching the game. Did one of the Sky broadcasters say that Pokey helped the Sky win a WNBA championship? Laughing

Fever up by 20 in the third. McCowan up to 10 reb in the third. She’ll get another double double if Pokey lets her keep playing.

The Sky cannot throw the ball into Lake Michigan while standing in the water! While the Fever can't miss any threes. Mad Wheeler making high arching rainbow long distance jumpers. Rolling Eyes

Sky got the lead down to 10 by quarter’s end. What’s Pokey doing?
