McCowan gets the start. Achonwa has a calf strain.

I miss LaChina and Bahhb. This guy is a Mary Murphy clone and the woman just babbles away as well.

88-78 ATL final
Hayes 28 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast
Dupree 19 pts, 6 reb
McCowan 14 pts (4-9, 6-9 FT), 14 reb (8 off), 1 stl, 5 blk
They don’t run offense for McCowan. Her shot attempts basically come from offensive rebounds. Nice line for a rookie in her first start.

I think Atlanta is starting to get it together. Friday night won't be a game the Sun can just show up and win. I'm leaning toward the Dream.

McCowan, like many others before, is proving me wrong. Elizabeth Williams isn't exactly an all-star, but she's a veteran post with some skills, and McCowan put up some serious numbers -- and Williams couldn't counter at the other end.

Elizabeth Williams was an All-Star two seasons ago.

That's amazing ... of course, she averaged a sterling 10.4 ppg and 7.2 rpg while shooting 48.5% from the field that year. I guess that's all-star stuff, somehow, but it doesn't seem that special to me.

It's what All-Star can mean in this league. Mostly I was pointing that the "All-Star" label doesn't mean a lot.
