Per Lindsay Gibbs The Athletic:

The Dallas Wings are STILL in DC. They were supposed to get back to Dallas last night, but their flight was canceled. Can't get out of DC until after 6:00 tonight, and most of the team has a connecting flight, won't get home until midnight. Another monumental fail for WNBA travel.

Oh no, however will they cope when they play again... several days later. Where's the 'fail'? Flights get cancelled sometimes. Charters cost a fortune. It's just not happening in this league any time soon.

If they’re still in DC they should really try Baltimore...

The Oakland A's, with charter, got into Texas at 4 a.m. and had to play three games in two days, and after that series, arrived in Tampa at 6 a.m. for a night game.

Charters don't solve all air travel problems -- they come with the territory, really.

Thank you for pointing this out. This one isn't on the league, it's just a matter of travel woes that everyone experiences.

Former NBA star slams treatment of WNBA players, says it #hastochange

Derek Fisher, now the coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks, shared an Instagram photo of the team at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport with their luggage.

Still unclear as to what exactly Fisher was whining about. It's a picture of a bunch of people with their luggage in an airport. This is what we call 'travel'.

X___________

NBA players call it travel when they take a van to the airport, skip the security lines, and are driven onto the tarmac to their charter, which is equipped specifically for them.

And then they complain ...

It could be worse. They could have to supply a couple of players to spin the propellors to start the engines before take off.
