Compare to NBA marketing video for Zion Williamson and the Pelicans, set to quotes from Avengers Endgame:

At 245 pounds, I wonder if Kalani is now the biggest Amazon in the WNBA?

okay, then. I looked at the title of this thread for a couple of days and finally opened it since it was hanging out here...and totally nothing like I expected. So I'm an oldtimer: fly could be a buzzing insect; or a baseball; or the opening flap on jeans; or many things if used as a verb but I was thinking airplane. I think it might be something in theatre language too... so I was trying to figure out why I would want to match someone's fly (my buzzing insect is better than yours?) and curiosity finally overcame reluctance. I would never in life imagine it had something to do with fashion. But it was kinda cute. Better than a buzzing insect for sure.

Just for reference: Wink

...I had no idea they did a re-boot of this in 2018

"Fly" has been used in this context since at least the mid 80's
