*Why* should I care.....?

What's the big deal, about having a president who's a felonious bastard? About reversal of women's reproductive rights, or lgbt rights? About too many gun mass murders in schools and religious institutions? About The Kardashians being American Goddesses? About....well, anything I must deal with here?

These 2 stories drained me this week. Crying or Very sad

The Largest Refugee Camp

Uganda's scars

Fallacy of Relative Privation.

Yes, there are terrible, terrible things in this world. But it is a fallacy to think that you have to tackle things in order of terribleness. We can, and should, fight to stop lesser wrongs that we feel we have more of a chance to impact, or that affect us more directly while still acknowledging the existence of the greater wrongs and doing what we can.

Of course. "Think Globally, Act Locally". I can't effect changes in Uganda or Myanmar, but I can put little reminders out there in the interest of raising/maintaining awareness: we must never forget or lose sight of The Real problems that exist in order to maintain a bit of logical perspective on our own woes.
