Liberty seems to be playing much better. Bias playing well again. Likely holds that 5th guard spot until Hartley/Johannes arrives.

I don't think this one's in Uncasville, Shades. Smile

It is really disheartening that Asia Durr is struggling so far. Today in the first half, 12 minutes, 0-4 FG, 0 points, 1 REB, 2 TO, 1 PF, nothing else.

It is in Uncasville @ Mohegan Sun. Second day of the preseason "tournament" at Mohegan Sun. Fourth year the Sun have hosted this four team tournament.

Oops, I stand corrected. Anyway between last game and today's first half, Asia has played 31 minutes and scored 0 points.

1. Bias should definitely make the final roster.
2. Good bounce back game from Zahui b.
3. I'm not concerned with Durr. She's a rookie, and it's just the preseason.

wow. Cazorla making the most of her minutes showing that a PG's job is setting up her teammates.

Really wish there was a spot on the roster for Warley-Talbert. She's busting her butt out there and clearly has improved her offense since 2017. Unless Raincock is a complete bust when she arrives, the chances of AWT sticking seem zero. Cuevas-Moore, Caldwell, Faris, Gray & Huff are all goners soon. Wouldn't mind if both Hartley & Johannes waiting until July to arrive. Let's work with Bias & Warley-Talbert for a while and build on those 12 first.

PG: Boyd/Bias
SG: Durr/Wright
SF: Nurse/Allen/Raincock-Ekunwe
PF: Charles/Warley-Talbert
C: Zahui B/Stokes/Han

Liberty shooting 26-29 from FTs. A nice positive to take away from tonight. Zahui B with 20/8/4.

The coaches have to like it to see how their 'scrubs' react in end of game situation.

Liberty ended that come back with Cuevas-Moore/Durr/Nurse/Gray/Zahui B. Zahui B was solid tonight. Durr not so much. Gray is fighting for a spot but seems very doubtful.

Is there a point where we should be worried about Durr? She looked slower than slow against team China. How have players like Maya and DT done in their first preseason?

It’s not like Durr gives stellar defense either.

If Stokes beats out Hollingsworth for the Turkish National team AWT might get some extra time on the team anyway.

I really like Stokes and Hartley but missing substantial time with hungry players trying to stick on the roster like Bias and AWT might not end so well for Bria and Kiah.

Diggins and Plum both had rough rookie seasons, K. Mitchell only started to look legit at the end of her first season and had the green light to shoot from day 1.

I wish Durr was showing better but it is still a little early to panic or write her off. Now is the right time to struggle if it is still the same come July OK time to worry.

Rookie SGs almost always have shaky 1st years, so I wouldn't worry about it just now Idea

Jewell Loyd, Skylar Diggins and Kelsey Plum all barely put up 10ppg with a low FG%. Shocked

It's also probably better for NY, as they could use another high draft pick next year, so just enjoy the ride and 'Trust The Process" Twisted Evil

Def not writing her off but I expected more out of the gate.

Honestly I am little worried too but hoping this will be the wake up call that pushes her to figure out what is needed to be successful at the next level instead of a blow to her confidence that could take a while to get over.

I think if Durr joined a team like their opponent Connecticut (which is the team I picked to win the Finals until the Chiney trade), then I would have expected more. But a rookie SG joining a lottery team, I'm only expecting her to be decent.. Confused

All fair points. I may have to learn the fine art of patience this year. Nothing I see here says playoff team.
