I kind of like the Dream getting Coffey. I'd probably prefer Copper, but 2RP is not a lot to give up.

Her baby brother is a beast. She might have beast potential.

Coffey is surely better than anyone who'll be available in the 2nd round next year.

Atlanta's acquisition of Coffey is a strong indication that we may not see Angel suit up for most, if not all year. Mr. Bill adds Sugar, a player he knows well from his NY days, but there is a logjam at the 1-2-3 slots in Vegas. My hunch is more trades are on the way.

Such as the current state of the league...
Even if you are a Top 5 pick, you have one, maybe two years to prove yourself or you're outta here
Very hard to make, let alone stay on a roster...
Maybe she'll follow the same path as one of my favorites, Natasha Howard.. NH had a good promising rookie year, followed by a down sophomore year, then she was sent outta dodge/IND. And unfortunately, she was sent to MIN, where promising backup posts go to disappear due to lack of playing time, until she was finally traded to SEA who got her for a bargain where she shined. As I said when that trade happened last year, "I like Howard in general, and I definitely like the price.
As of now, this looks like a win-win.. at least in regards to Coffey and LV. Even if LV isn't done trading, Sugar should add to the Aces. As for NY, I'd prefer to develop the young players and "Suck for the Oregon Duck", but maybe they are.. But as for Coffey, she should get more playing time to develop and maybe turn the corner sometime in the future. Best wishes Nia!

I thought Coffey should have gotten more time on the floor in LV so it's a cool move for her.
Sugar we know can defend... which he's been missing, but her offense is erratic at best.

The league is so tight now that its damn near impossible for new players to make rosters. This year was a very deep draft. Next year, teams are going to have to start waiving players like Candace Parker, Sylvia Fowels, Sue Bird to fit in new players.
And then there are some washed up players still in the league that have no business being in the league, taking away roster spots for younger, much better players (Tanisha Wright, Seimone Augustus, Rebekkah Brunson, Camille Little to name a few).
