Uhhhhh

First, why does Stanford do that with injuries?

Second, what happened to her? Anyone know?

What are you talking about? Please elaborate. We are not all in on your loop.

She got hurt in the Oregon game and I don't believe they released what happened to her. And, Stanford has a history of doing this.

It was called a bone bruise and slight sprain.

Thank you. And a lot of schools do the same. It's called "medical privacy" these days, but it's a little frustrating to fans.

It's a federal law that you cannot discuss illness, or injuries, etc...called HEPA

I doubt anyone would want their medical history or an injury to be publicly discussed or revealed...

A. It's HIPAA.
B. A general note.."sprained ankle" or some such...is usually not considered by most, including the injured player, to be 'top secret" information. I think most players, if surveyed, would agree with that. Of course there are some things that would be considered highly personal that a player would not wish revealed. And any of it can be discussed with player permission, so it is not completely taboo. Please get your law straight.

To be clear, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requires that medical information can't be shared WITHOUT the consent of the individual. Generally pro leagues get that consent within their contracts but it is not required of college athletes.
