Anomaly report. I'm not disputing the end result and this doesn't effect anything for our game as I accept the ESPN box as the final say (plus it won me an extra 1$ on fanduels....but:
At the end of the game last night I toted up Chelsea Gray's points and she had 31.8, so I figured what Griner would need for our team to beat Hoopmom this week. This morning I was surprised to see Gray's total at 34.8. So I went back to the ESPN box which was still open from last night and sure enough it was 31.8 so I hit refresh, which normally is irrelevant as it automatically updates, but lo and behold after the refresh there appears a steal which wasn't there last night or moments before. Out of curiousity I went back thru the play by play thinking maybe there was a steal near the end of the game. No steal. So I went thru the entire game's play by play. No steal. So I have to call it a phantom steal. Is that weird or what? For our game I hope it's irrelevant since Griner would have to have her worst game of the year (knock on wood) to not get more than the 28.3 we need. Still, I find it pretty bizarre.

The play by play at WNBA shows a steal by Gray with 3:37 left in the game. If you watch the replay, it shows a turnover and Parker ended up with the ball in the paint, dribbled several times up court, passed to Gray just after mid court, Gray passed to RWill who shot for 3

on ESPN play by play, it gives that steal to Parker. Not that it really matters.

NYSports. I like your weekly commentary that brings to attention how many points are needed for a team to overcome a deficit, no matter how ridiculous. Entertaining.
It time for the "RFBL Weekly Update" by NYSports
Last night Phoenix had a substantial lead before Griner had reached the 28.2 needed to defeat hoopmom, and I'm thinking, Dont take her out yet!
At one point Griner had 28.3, then committed a turnover.

OK, then, here's the update as the close to week 6 draws near:

The only game that matters now is the Atlanta game (they're at home today vs. New York), with the exception of the Los Angeles game mattering for Nneka Ogumwike (who missed the Sparks' first game this week). LA is home vs. Chicago.

One game is over and final: Mojo/myrtle has defeated hoopmom 144-140. Hoopmom continues to lose games where she scores well over the league average and is now 3-3. Mojo/myrtle increase to 5-1, and will enjoy a share of first place with whoever wins the WNBA 09 vs. toad455 game.

One game is over but not final: J-Spoon has defeated adamj95, unless Elizabeth Williams turns the ball over 14 times. Not even the great Azura Stevens could pull that one off!

One game is almost over, but a miracle could happen: Admiral Needa leads Erimus by 96.4 points, but Erimus does still have two players left: Brittany Sykes and Nneka Ogumwike. That's 48.2 points apiece, but hey, if Odyssey Sims can score 54.9 (she's the leading scorer this week), you can never say for sure. Sykes averages 20.3 points a game and Nneka averages 29.9.

Two games are up for grabs: the leader is done for the week, but the trailer has one player left. Both leads are quite precarious, and short of injury, foul trouble, or a miserable performance, both trailing teams should be able to take the lead.

In the showdown between 4-1 toad455 and 4-1 WNBA 09, Monique Billings needs just 9.0 points for toad455 to catch WNBA 09 in the battle for a share of first place. Billings averages 16.3 points a game.

In the game between calbearman76/tbinta and my team, Tiffany Hayes needs 11.9 for me to catch them. We only needed 10.9 before Azura Stevens stepped on the court! Hayes averages 23.1 points a game.

That's what's going on as we head into Sunday!

I was hurt by the line up situations. The players missing in Euros dont make it any better. I seriously predict a losing streak til Zauhi and Glory return from Euros. Having dolson and Powers in the line up is not enough smh. Any trade ideas are very much welcomed btw Exclamation

NYSports drops Bria Hartley-NY (G), and adds Kiah Stokes-NY (C)

Swapping overseas Liberty players. I think I may have a problem at center. Azura Stevens just put up a -1 for me and then missed the next game with what is supposed to be a minor foot injury. Natalie Achonwa just came back from a minor injury, and may not get her job back due to the emergence of Taira McCowan while she was gone. The minutes definitely look like they will be reduced, especially as she comes back from the injury. I've got hopes that one of Stevens or Achonwa will get the job done for me, but I'm taking another shot at the position. I really don't think Kiah will get the minutes to make her viable in fantasy, but hey, my favorite player is on my team now.

I'm taking a risk with Gustafson. Glory Johnson is done with Eurobasket and hopefully doesn't rush back. Wings don't play until Friday and I'm hoping Glory takes a few days off and doesn't return until next Tuesday.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't write any more about the move than I did! I was wasting valuable seconds while I typed that stuff.

I'm not sure how valuable Kiah's going to be, with Rashanda Gray playing so well, and with Zahui B coming back soon. But like I said, I'm not feeling 100% confident in my center situation.

Ugh. 10.2 from Tiffany Hayes. My lineup decisions at guard have been terrible.

Fortunately for me, Brittney Sykes's didn't do much more for Erimus with her 16.8. The Dream are awful without McCoughtry.

Mojo/myrtle will take the bait and sign S. Talbot, F, Minny, hoping she will continue to perform at a high level. We will waive Alana Beard, who was on our team for such a short time, but we have appreciated her tenure with us.

Is Talbot eligible to start this week? We picked Talbot up after her first WNBA game of the week. The reason I ask is because RFBL rules state:

"If a player plays in more than one game during a week, only the first game is used to determine fantasy points for that week. A game in which the player does not play (DNP) does not count as the player's first game of the week."

The rules do not distinguish the difference of a player being/not being RFBL rostered at the time of her first (WNBA?, Euroleague?, RFBL?) game of the week.

We will be starting Talbot if eligible in place of TRP.

Talbot is not eligible to start this week. It's her first WNBA game of the week that counts. It doesn't matter whose roster she's on.
