Well, the game played out to expectation.

Landers makes a great pt re Baylor- they "have more ability than what they show".

I agree. I think Kim throttles them down because of their size. I think they could be a more dynamic offense, and I think they will pay the price in the FF for not playing more uptempo.

So, did Gustafson raise her stock by outperforming Brown? We always knew that two star posts was going to be too much for Iowa and Gustafson.

Congrats, Lady Bears. Brown is good, but Baylor dominated tonight cuz of Richards and Cox. And with those 2 returning, AND their incoming recruits, Baylor is gonna be good for a long time. However, if they don't pic up their % on 3s (like they did vs. UConn) they're not gonna need any net scissors. Shocked

Did she really outperform brown ? Or does Baylor having 2 formidable posts cancel out Gustaffsons performance ? 0 Rebounds in the 2nd half cant be seriously judged as outperforming someone ..

Baylor is better in this game with Brown on the bench.

I would not take her high in the draft.

Be careful about making judgments based on one game (assuming you are)...

I honestly think Lauren Cox would be ideal next to A'ja Wilson in Las Vegas. But I do not see any realistic likelihood of that happening.

Cox is more finesse. Shooting 3's and working the high post. Aja needs a dominant low post figure to compliment her high post game . Cox would clog up the high post with Aja.

Wilson is much more efficient as a bruiser down low and closer to the basket.
From 0-5 feet, she shot 61-106 (57.5 percent).
From 6-10 feet, she shot 70-150 (46.7 percent).
From 11-15 feet, she shot 70-177 (39.5 percent).

Cox can work the high/low from the high post with Wilson. She can hit the open mid-range or three if Wilson is double teamed.

And Cox can finish closer to the basket if Wilson is in the high post (with Wilson taking the more physical defender).

I'm not basing it on one game. I've seen her many times over the years. She has improved her body, has a pretty good 15-ft shot, and of course is a load inside.

I don't dislike her, I just prefer more mobility.
