Ship the Beavs or the Cardinal or the Sun Devils out there next time, please. Let's give the Bruins a break for a bit. Thx.

Oregon St are also in the Albany Regional.

Okay, awesome. Now please send them out 2 times more in the next 3 seasons.

It would have been nice if one of those teams got sent to Greensboro instead!

Just win the P12 (which you just might do next year) and I predict you won't be in Albany (or wherever is closest to UConn) next year. Very Happy

Losing Collier and KLS....UCONN might be lucky to be in the Albany regional next year.... Shocked Laughing

Well played. UConn/L'ville rematch--could be good! Cool

I think UConn's got plenty of talent left in the cupboard.

What stood out to me is that UConn's a great team, with a great coach and great players, and that UConn deserved to win. And UConn did!

What also stood out to me-- as someone who admittedly doesn't view a whole lot of UConn basketball, 'cause I'm mostly just watching the west-- is the truly breathtaking level of blue-chippers Geno that has successfully put in his stable. I know that's not a novel observation but: sheesh! The Huskies only went 6-deep tonight, and of those 6, 3 were ranked #1 in their respective Hoopgurlz classes, and not one of them was ranked lower than #6. UCLA's highest-ranked player tonight (Drummer) was ranked lower (at #8 ) than UConn's lowest-ranked player tonight. Besides Drummer we played two recruits in the teens, two in the thirties, one in the 80s (Dean), and one unranked (Miller).

It's kind of amazing that my Bruins were even *in* that game, at all!

Recruiting is, of course, a huge part of this game, and Geno's better at it than anyone, and that's to his great credit. You gotta tip your cap, man! But tonight, looking at the raw talent that Geno's been able to corral, it was a bracing reminder of why UConn hardly ever loses. Honestly, it kinda makes me wonder why UConn ever loses, ever.

Well, it all ends this yr, and likely this weekend.

Next year the closest regional is Fort Wayne Indiana, next is Greenville, South Carolina. The other 2 sites are Portland and Dallas.

Given the (relatively) shit yr possible, i figure they'll be in Oregon as Duck fodder. I'm aware of what the Ducks lose (declare S.I.!).but unless geno pulls some foreigners and/or grad xfers out of his ass, it's gonna be an, uh, interesting season.

I think it was me who wondered here back in Nov if this yr would be CT's last FF, or if last year was.

The answer in less than 2 days. (Officially, but we're all pretty sure Lou's gonna win, aren't we?)

Cool

Down to a one point lead for UConn.

KLS has been pretty awful.

I was thinking she doesn't even look like a W prospect the way she's playing in the moment. I wonder if the injury is still a problem.

This game was my 1st chance to see her live since the injury. It's obvious she's not 100%. That said, her shot has been off most of the yr.

I agree. She was actually better last year with her bad ankle.

Well, the usual comments from the uconn haters. Always good to read their sour grapes.

I'll wait til i get confirmation from the replay at home, but 2 things stood out- ref Barlow sux, and Drummer is a chippy mother effer. :)

Perhaps our pac12 friends will comment.

I missed most of the game and wasn't paying attention to the refs. But I can say that Melissa Barlow is most Stanford fans' least favorite ref.

Before I forget, this win officially establishes this CT team as better than the 2005 Dark Ages squad. Thank the gods.
