Very low scoring game which isn't good for Marquette but the steal by Lott and layup at the buzzer was nice Smile. MU holds a slim 20-19 lead at the half.

Anybody seeing this live? I'm stuck with Belmont/SC on espn 2....which is okay enough (I'm glad to see Darby Maggard playing) but I'd rather be watching this one.

I am having to watch it on the app - still have Belmont on ESPN2 - sticking to a blowout again. But maybe I should just turn off the Marquette game anyway.

51-50 Mercer end 3rd.

No 15 has ever lost to a 2 in the 64-team field era.

Back and forth this and Iowa- who'da thought we'd need to watch a 5/12 and 2/15 simultaneously.

MU is letting that stiff bother them. Obviously really need Davenport in there, but they should be doing better anyway, imo.

They should be doing a lot better - they have the last two BE POY - this is a pretty poor performance on MU's part...

This one is over - not sure I've ever seen this Marquette team struggle so much to score. Rice is up 50-43 with 3:55 to go in the game.

MU should double Mulky whenever she gets the ball 15 ft out.

RICE BLEW IT! What are the odds Marquette Fan turned the game off, and immediately after that Marquette went on their run?

Nope I saw the end of regulation and am still in shock MU came back to tie it up. I was driving for the OT part so I missed that. I can’t believe Marquette came back and won that game. I am so happy right now 😀

Marquette blew their BET final game against DePaul so Rice was returning a favor for MU I guess 😀. So happy for Hiedeman that she got the chance to go to the line and sink two free throws late in OT after she had the airball FT in the BET final.

Oh and Marquette set a program record today with their 27th win topping the 2006-07 team’s mark of 26 wins. It’s been a tough last month for the seniors - so happy for them to get this win. And I figure they’re due to play a little better on Sunday 😀.

Marquette shoots 34% and has only 11 assists. Lucky win, sorta, and a sorta choke by Rice.

That OT was kinda *flat*, overall, and Rice showed their inexperience in Big Moments, just as Marquette showed the grit 'n determination one expects from seniors who lost their conference title in a heartbreaker. Kudos to the Golden Eagles. Cool

I believe the two teams made the same amount of field goals and the same amount of 3's also - Marquette was 8 of 8 from the line to Rice's 4 of 6.

And yes Marquette was very lucky to win this one but I'll take it. MU was so very lucky that Rice's shot at the end of regulation didn't go down - they left were ultra wide open.

Kudos to redshirt sophomore Lauren VanKleunen who had her best game of the year and came up with the incredibly huge offensive rebound near the end of OT with MU clinging to a 2 point lead. She hadn't played much before Davenport got hurt though.

Fitting that free throws are one of the things that won them this game in my opinion as it was free throws that cost them the game in the BET final...
