For what it's worth, Fairfield started receiving votes in early January, and the vote total increased weekly for the next 6 weeks. Not until the week we were at 26 and a team ranked 23 lost to an unranked team was there a "lobby" for votes. The likelihood of being voted into the Top 25 without the "lobby" was extremely high.

You can argue if you think the ranking isn't merited if you'd like, but to suggest it only happened because of a fun social media post would be inaccurate.
