He just said 'we'll give you the 68'....
I'm guessing he is thinking about the men's draw?? I haven't heard any thing about the women going to 68 teams. Right?

Gotta think Hebard is not totally healthy. She doesn't miss those bunnies.

If Stanford destroys OR, will that drop OR to a 2 seed?
Would it be enough to move Stanford to a 1 seed?
Sounded like Charlie would drop them with just a loss, regardless of by how much.

Stanford isn't going to be a #1 seed. But, Oregon drops to a 2 but stays in Portland anyway. Not much of a deal, imo. If the seeds hold, you play a 3 instead of a 4.

Imo, what Lawson said, and Landers parroted, is Stanford is playing tough defense is why Oregon is behind.
Landers said "and Oregon doesn't like that". This has been my observation of the Ducks over the last 3 years. I have called them "soft" before. This not to say they're all wimps or something, just that they aren't bangers and don't like to bang. This is why they were beaten by Mich St.
Oregon can easily come back to win this game. But, imo, they won't beat the tough teams, and they won't outscore ND. This why I doubt they'll win the NC.

Why wouldn't Stanford get the Portland slot and the Ducks have to go elsewhere? Stanford would be the higher seeded 2 and should get the closest location.

still not sure why she's going with Wilson. Especially when Smith is out, we need both Hulls on the floor.

because of the driving thing. It's a flight for Stanford. Same reason UConn is in Albany regardless of what their number is.

not really an exciting game. Even if Oregon pulls off the win here, they're not a #1 seed.

I thought that the ACC game was physical.
This might match it. Bodies everywhere.

This may actually help Oregon. It will be easy for a #1 to underestimate them based on this performance. I guarantee that when they are all healthy, they will look a whole lot better.

Because Oregon is better, pasted them by 40 on their homecourt, has better losses and won the PAC12 reg season?

Yeah, but their uniforms don't read "UConn" so those bogus excuses don't apply.
BTW, Stanford's shot selection is frequently suspect. Wasted possessions.

Huh? Like Michigan St? And Oregon didn't beat the overall #1 seed.

yeah, hoisting way too many threes.(esp by someone shooting 25%) And Smith has tightened up. She's not shooting the ball, she's pushing it.

But the discussion assumes they will have beaten Oregon tonight and won the Tournament. Those would cancel out Oregon's only advantages leaving Mich St and Baylor as the primary distinguishing factors, both in Stanford's favor. If Stanford wins tonight they will likely be higher seeded.

They both have good wins and bad losses. Oregon has been ranked higher all season. I don't think that changes even if Stanford pulls this out.
