Biggest take away from a day filled with ceremonial pomp and circumstance- Senior Night for Samuelson and Collier, Kobe and daughter attending, and Lobo's halftime jersey retirement- may be the back injury Samuelson suffered after she dove the court for a loose ball in the 2nd quarter then was incidentally contacted by a Cougar doing the same thing.

She left the court gingerly, tried to go at the start of the 3rd, then left the game soon afterward never to return.

She was interviewed on the court after the game and addressed the crowd re her CT career.

We shall see. The season finale is at Tampa Monday vs USF.

I guess she won't be 100% from here on out but, with 24-hr rehab and painkillers, maybe she'll be well enough to play decently at least.

83-61

I noticed the 2-16 from three. Not a good sign, especially at home.

Houston hit 6 3's in the 1st period. I've seen a lot of seniors have bad games on their day. Even Collier missed a couple of bunnies. Ugly game like so many AAC games now. The word is out that if you commit 50 fouls only 25 will be called and you will lose by 20 instead of 40.

Funny but UConn won 81-61 in Houston, hitting just 5-16 3's.

I was told that the CAA shares referees with the ACC. Maybe that was a lie and it’s really the AAC!
