I predict Kelly will arrange a spartanesque march from Eugene to Corvallis, done on foot to give the Ducks the full experience of what WAR really IS. ("War is Hell!"-General Sherman, on his way to incinerate Atlanta.)

Freshly imbued with the spirit of intense rivalry/hatred/animosity that only a Civil War can generate, the Ducks shred the Beavers before the first quarter is over. But the long, forced march has taken its toll....the Beavers, having remained fresh during that marching time, take the opportunity to clip the spent Duck's wings and make a game of it.

Or. It could just be a really amazing game, with flashy basketball skills on display, couched in the delightful repartee of good sportsmanship and camaraderie. All good. Cool

Well, I'll be rooting for the Beavers but would bet on the Ducks. Oregon has great outside shooting, but if you guard them at the arc, Cazorla and Ionescu will drive or pass to Sabally and Hebard inside. Imagine if they also had an uninjured Sabally the Younger.

One thing bugs me about Ionescu, mostly as as a reflection of a bigger bug about WBB in general. She's not very quick, but is very shifty on her drives with multiple hesitations to change directions virtually every time she controls the ball. In my playing days, almost all her hesitations would have been whistled as carries, as the ball comes to rest in her upturned hand. However, carrying the ball is now endemic in WBB and is so rarely called. Perhaps Ionescu should be praised as one of the best exploiters of this effeminate dribbling loophole ever to pound the maple.

Bingo. However, she also gets calls in the same manner as Plum did, the flailing when there is no contact or initiated contact by her. That will disappear at the next level.

Refs trying to save the Ducks with that ludicrous jump ball call.

You could have called fouls on either of the Oregon players and been correct.
