cute. I love it for the ladies to have their minds on a future career even if they plan to play pro in the short run.

So true!! Especially if they've had a couple of injuries in college!
Oh, and I loved it when she told the camera man that he was in her shot!

Wait. Is her major broadcast journalism or meteorology? Meteorology was one of the toughest classes I ever took in college.

My Uncle ( a good ol' boy who was a manual laborer) always said he wanted to be a weatherman here in Oregon. In the Winter, (he said) you just say 50% chance of rain or if it's raining at the time of broadcast 100% chance of rain. In the Summer you just say 'no rain in sight' ...and then he would laugh and laugh. He thought that would be a great cushy job.

I would imagine that it is more broadcast journalism. For some reason I can't see ND with a meteorology degree. She's probably picking up a lot of the science classes she'll need though.

My dad wanted to be a meteorologist. He was a weather officer on a seaplane tender in the South Pacific in WWll. Through various turns of fate, he ended up as a professor of Physical Geography and eventually Chairman of the Geography Department at Tennessee. He retained an interest in and broad knowledge of meteorology throughout his life. I remember him teaching me to read a weather map when I was about 7. When he moved to Knoxville, he said he would hate to be a weatherman there because of its location. But there's a saying there, as in other similar places--"If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes."
