Cindy Brunson, a very poor p-b-p caller and Joan Bonavicini color.

Apparently Brunson attended a few Mary Murphy/PAC12 hype school of broadcasting classses.

It's really sad but true - I think most of the P12 announcers have taken their cues from Mary Murphy so almost none of them are listenable. Although there are a couple of colors that semi keep Mary under control and she actually can be almost listenable in the right pairing, at least for a few minutes at a time...so long as she's not paired up with someone like Schitzie.

She talks plenty about basketball. And the off topic "rambles" are about tthe coaches and players which i want to know about. There is enough negativity regarding the announcers, im shouting out that i appreciate what Mary has done including the new podcast on pac12 wbb.

I also like Mary Murphy. She sticks to the game much more than the all the more well-known ESPN, Fox and homer announcers. She may sort of enthusiastically "cheer", but she does it for good plays by both teams, not as a partisan for one. I think that livens up the presentation. Her knowledge of all the players is intimate and her analysis is solid.

I listened to MM today for the Stanford game and yes, she was quite ok. I really do think it depends on who she's teamed up with.
