The pictures of him groping sleeping women, along with...

This is one I find utterly amusing---Franken---by virtue of contrasting him with, oh....I dunno....Trump? I mean, Franken was way out of line, and with little kerfuffle, he resigns. Good. But DONALD is taped coaching in the tactic of pussy-groping, has multiple women with substantial claims against him....and HE get's ELECTED. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I don’t think Democrats should hold themselves to the same standards as Donald.

We know the Republican Party is ass backwards, let’s try to be better.

Biden's already run twice and failed to get nominated, or even come close.

I'd agree. As 'wrong' as it may seem to some of us, I believe he has the elusive combination of "pleasing to most moderates" and "acceptable to most deplorables", i.e., he's the least divisive of those currently running.

Wikipedia says Cory Booker is a long time friend of Gayle King and has a picture of them on the red carpet somewhere. An Oprah endorsement and
a campaign appearance would be significant.

Senator Amy Klobuchar making an announcement on Sunday on go/no-go. She was my pick about a year ago.

She’s from Minnesota and I like her given the other choices, but I’m tired of business-as-usual democrat candidates. Would like to see somebody more progressive who will make a good fight for Medicare for all and climate change solutions. Need to drop that minimum age requirement. Why should there be one if somebody age 30 can get things done?

When Andrew realized that new technology like artificial intelligence threatened to eliminate one-third of all American jobs, he knew he had to do something. In The War on Normal People (2018), he explains the mounting crisis and makes the case for implementing a universal basic income: $1,000 a month for every American adult, no strings attached.

He raised $4 million in donations from 150,000 people within 12 hours of his official announcement. That’s an average of $26.67 per donation.

Once Ocasio-Cortez endorses him, he’ll be tough to beat.

Sanders still has that "socialist" tag on him. Not exactly a popular conversation right now. He raised that much already because he already has a big following. he's done this before while no other current candidate has.

The other candidates are going to actually run against him this time- and there is a lot to run against.

While my personal political beliefs line up closer to Sanders, I will be voting for Klobuchar in the primary. Getting rid of Trump is the most important thing, and I'll take the sure win over the risky play right now. Especially since it is not like him being elected president would end up getting any of his policy through a Republican Senate and a moderate House.

Plus Amy's Town Hall on CNN was super impressive. Seriously, if she were the nominee she would beat Trump in a historic landslide. All those suburban Republicans that just flipped the House so dramatically? They would vote for her in a heartbeat (anecdotally, my always-votes-Republican father also keeps voting for Amy and actually just donated to her campaign because he "Doesn't want to have to vote for Trump again"). If we nominate someone too far left, we will lose those votes, and we had better hope they just decide to stay home or a third party candidate libertarian gains some traction or else we'll get four more years of this shit.

In 2016 Sanders polled better against Trump than Clinton, which he would point out to no avail.

I keep being told by people on the news channels that Sanders has no chance because now there are women and black candidates that also have his message. I don't think anyone has said "younger" as a distinguishing feature, but that is probably the most relevant. He would be 80 during his first year in office. But it seems that most people agree with idea that "the Democrats are beyond nominating a white male", as I think it is put. But as someone (Chuck Rocha?) pointed out, Sanders doesn't need to pull in the numbers he did against Clinton. He only needs to get some amount more than the others. He can go through the primaries like Trump did - getting 25% or so of the vote and waiting for people lower than that to drop out.

Sanders has talent. No one articulates on his feet a more politically compelling and impactful message and he has an incredible booming voice which he uses better than all but a few stage actors that I can't even think of at this time. His age will be an issue, crowded field will be an issue, so many women stepping forward will be an issue. But if he's healthy and he doesn't croak, they will all have their asses handed to them by Bernie. If there's 20 candidates in the race at the start, when there's two left, one will be Bernie Sanders. Put that in the bank and draw some interest on it.

The only reason I could see Bernie no being one of the final two is that Warren suddenly gains traction. But I doubt that will happen due to the negatives and how the media has Hillary'd her with the Native Americsn issue.
