Well there's a player they don't really need (and whose agent should be directing them somewhere else) unless trades are in the pipeline... |

How about MoJeff to Dallas for FRP? Probably too much for MoJeff. |
Wouldn’t they rather make Jefferson a part of the Cambage trade (if it happens) and keep #5?

Not sure why Chong would be needed by the Aces if they’re happy with Allen. Probably training camp fodder, but what’s going on in your mind, Laimbeer?

a younger Swords? She is tall. Wonder if she's been playing this Winter. Puzzling. Well AFO's got us guessing.

Dallas signed Brooke McCarty-Williams |
Quote: |
She currently plays for Peli-Karhut of the Finnish Korisliiga, averaging 17.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and two steals per game.
“Brooke had a very good training camp last year and she is a player who impressed Coach Agler,” Wings President and CEO Greg Bibb stated. “We are going to have a very competitive training camp at the point guard position and Brooke is one of several players we will have vying for a roster spot. I’m excited to see her on the court when we begin in early May.” |
Dallas has picks #17, #22, and #29. I wonder how many of those picks willl end up being PG’s/CG’s?

I think Davis can be an asset for Dallas if Agler uses her correctly(unlike coach Williams)....However, I would definitely trade Davis for Allen or Jefferson straight up.

both the Hamblin & Chong signings by Vegas are odd. Laimbeer is a master of trades, so it'll be interesting to see what's up his sleeve.

Not for Allen who's just a third string PG in the league. And Davis for Jefferson is unbalanced. Jefferson's starter material while Davis is, at best, the 9th or 10th best player on a roster.

Right, Jefferson could start for the Wings and she’d also get a high return in trade. Allen would be the perfect backup to Plum, with no real expectations to start at the WNBA level. If you’ve been paying attention to Allen’s progress in the WNBL, you’d see she’s added prolific scoring to her repertoire, which had always been a weakness of hers. I have Allen as having more value than Davis at the moment.
So get your trade value with Jefferson and keep Allen as your backup. The Aces don’t have a need for Davis. They already have Nared and Coffey, who also had a breakout season in the WNBL.

Several WNBA players have been big scorers in the WNBL, but weren’t able to make it translate. Natalie Novosel and Kelsey Griffin come to mind. Kayla Pedersen was also defensive player of the year, I believe.

Jefferson had a terrible season last year and is injury prone. Sure, she has upside, but so does Davis....KD is a legit 6'1 and has the ability to be a very good defensive SF under Agler/Laimbeer.Based on how they performed in last season, a Davis for Jefferson trade isn't all that lopsided. And just because the Aces have Nared/Coffey does not mean Laimbeer would be against including 1 of the 2 in a trade for Cambage?.....Also, LV just signed Chong....I wouldn't be surprised if Davis and Jefferson or Allen are included as part of a future Cambage trade. Some of you are pointing out what LV has on their current roster without factoring in what they may have to give up to get Cambage.
Jefferson wasn't exactly a quality bench player last season:5.1p,2.1a,38%,20%.....but again, Dallas needs a pg, and I like her upside more than Davis.

Sparks sign Alina Iagupova.
She plays overseas with Chelsea Gray.

Allen is definitely better than a third string imo. There aren't that many quality PGs around.
