Nobody watching this? Ducks led 9-0 and 16-4, in E. Lansing, but trail 46-39 at the half, as the Spartans rallied much to the delight of the large vocal crowd.

I've called the Ducks soft before. Let's see what they can do in the 2nd half.

Ok, end of 3rd Q. If it hit the rim, there was no shot clock violation, then why didn't the put back count? That call was not to Oregon's benefit.

Hebard. I've always thought she was a bit overrated. She's good but IMO not THAT good. Her defense has always been HS style - stand with your arms str8 up and hope for the best.

I watched the whole thing, just didn’t comment because I was also doing other stuff. Not as impressed by Oregon as I expected to be. MSU got around and through them consistently, besides having some great 3-point shooting. Other teams take note!

Suzies Spartans beat the Ducks and didn't even have their best player suit up. Shay Colley has not played the last several games for Michigan state.

Well, THERE was a game of the ever-elusive consistencies. Kudos to MI-state: they certainly deserved the win. Oregon most certainly did NOT....most of Oregon's players just Did. Not. Show. (Sabrina exempted).

Ruthy, we hardly saw ye....?? Maite?? Credit Michigan States stellar defense; they really disrupted Oregon for most of the game.

This was definitely one of those Less Than Stellar Reffing performances. Nothing too egregious, but that one 3 pointer where Sabrina grazed the fingernail on Allen's pinkie to give her an and-1 was a prime example. None of it mattered in the game's outcome--Oregon IS the better team, and should have never let it get that far away from them. And yes, Myrtle....for being (allegedly) the nation's best power forward, Ruthy's defense was pretty dismal.

All that said, Ms Merchant does know how to coach, and has some fine pieces to work with. I really could see them taking down MD and/or Iowa before the season is out.
