I have no idea with this game. Either team could win a close game either team could win a blowout. I don't think either team is really mentally tough

With Higgs, I think Texas wins. Without Higgs, it becomes a toss up. You would think Texas would have adjusted by now to not having her so we will see. Since Tenn likes to drive, drive, drive, it may depend on if the Texas bigs can get blocks without getting into foul trouble.

Both of these teams seem like a distant second in their conference even though they both have impressive talent. I hope one of these teams steps up today and wins the game rather than both teams trying to give it away.

Good to see Holmes make her debut. As Landers noted, Tex' play improved greatly after she entered the game.

23-14 Tex end 1st. I guess the LVs have them right where they want them.

So much for my theory to let the Vols shoot 3's. So far they're 7-13 from three Shocked

I am impressed with the Lady Vols. Maybe the scare against Stetson shook them straight. Of course there are still 4 minutes to go.

I thought Tenn could win this one...but wasn't expecting it to be based on three shooting...or Jackson making 30 points Shocked

88-82 final. Great games by Jackson and Westbrook.

Good (enough!) game....especially in light of the contributions needed and made by freshmen. Outstanding games by Jackson, Westbrook, Williams, Warren, and Littleton.

I think both Karen and Holly need a summer camp with Vic....the defense on both sides was abysmal in chunks. And TX certainly didn't adjust well, when the zone hit in Q2.

Offensively, both were actually better on paper than it *appeared*. I mean, TX missed about 29 bunnies (it felt like....), but %s weren't awful.

If they continue to play no better than this, neither team should get higher or lower than the 10-15 rankings. EE, maybe, FF not likely. BUT....there's a lotta season left! Cool

Well, December is NOT March....thank goodness! Otherwise both teams might be in trouble. But as it is, there’s plenty of time and room for improvement. Secondly, for those sniping about 3-point percentages, most teams (and players) don’t have much better ones. The whole point is that most 3-point shooters have carte blanche, and most of their decisions are split second.

Oh, and to those who say that Holly & co. can’t develop players—I give you Meme Jackson. She was pretty iffy when she got there, but oh, baby, look at her now! Not just today; she’s been pretty consistent, if not always a prolific scorer.

I was impressed with Tennessee yesterday. Holly trumps Karen imo.

Evina Westbrook looks light years better this year. Barnes really did fix her shot. Her motion looks so much bettter. I still think she’s a SG and not a PG. I don’t understand why Holly tries to make shooting guards into point guards. Boggles my mind.
