Tina’s making Joanne look like a fantastic coach. I’m sure she’ll learn and hopefully get some good recruits.

First chance for me to see Cal in person this season. Good Cal contingent here, nearly half of the crowd. St Mary's should be a good test for the Bears.

St Marys 41 Cal 41 Halftime

Very entertaining game. St Marys dominated inside at the start and Anigwe has been frustrated. Both teams started off with hot shooting but cooled off in the second qtr.
Should be an interesting second half.

St Mary's opens the second half on a 13-0 run. Cal looks confused.

Cal 81-78 OT Final

Wildly entertaining game. CAL isn't the #15 team in the country but they have grit and a winning spirit. The Bears will struggle against bigger teams.

JMU goes to Maryland today. I'm dreading this game because I know the Brendasaurus will have her team whipped into a frenzy against the oh so "inferior" Dukes and it's likely to be a massacre, or at least an attempted one. We are still without C Kelly Koshuta, who was suspended for that mysterious "violation of team rules" and has been MIA from both practice and the bench since Thanksgiving. I suspect she may be in academic trouble but don't know. The game is on PPV and I'm not paying to watch, will follow on Twitter.

The final was 87-63. It could have been a lot worse. Nobody got hurt, and the Terps didn’t really have an answer for freshman PG Maddie Green and her 3s, or Kamiah Smalls and whatever she does. Now they get a break until next Sunday and Wake Forest.

And in that Radford-UVA game, Radford took it to the Cavs, 57-44- beating them for the first time since 1979. JMU transfer Savannah Felgemacher is doing well down there, not the highest scoring player today but a couple of monster blocks, and a new nickname, “Felgemonster”.
