With an 18 point loss at home to UConn, how will the polls treat Notre Dame tomorrow?

They'll probably drop behind Oregon and Baylor.

CT
OR
BAY
ND
MS ST

No way. They should be 2. No one else has showed they belong above them.

I agree. Oregon barely beat Syracuse, and Baylor barely beat Arizona St & South Dakota State.
Though then again, UConn only beat St. John's by 10 on a neutral court and beat Notre Dame on the road by 18, so people might rank Notre Dame below St. John's for that. Smile

The idea is to win.

Used to be, anyway. ND lost by 20 at home. This is the '18-19 season, not '17-18.

If CT lost by 20, where would they be ranked? 2nd cuz no one else has shown...?

While I agree since when have the AP rankings reflected that principle. There are several schools in the top 15 who have also not shown that they belong ranked where they are. Has Tenn played a game that places them among the top 10?
Right now, the teams playing mediocre opponents who were ranked on week one are moving up as teams that schedule tougher opposition and lose a game drop.
