Marquette lost to D2 Grand Valley State in their exhibition game. The Golden Eagles allowed the Lakers to shoot 50% from the field.

Kind of glad I wasn't at the game to witness this performance. And this game makes me think that Marquette may pull another quick disappearing act from the top 25 this season too Sad. I'm feeling a little less excited about Tuesday's opening game versus South Dakota State too.

If that's what they needed to get going this year, I'll take it Smile. The exhibition loss doesn't count at all and I"m still blown away by their performance on Tuesday - so did not expect that. I'm hoping for similar performances this weekend - we'll see...
