The Big East announced their awards today and I'm kind of surprised as Natisha Hiedeman was the only unanimous selection on first team, second team or honorable mention. Shadeen Samuels led the BE in scoring - I'm not sure how she wasn't a unanimous selection for one.

Marquette gets a BE POY for the 2nd year in a row but changes it up with Hiedeman this time and last year's BE POY and the preseason POY Allazia Blockton got the 6th woman award after she came off the bench after missing 5 BE games due to injury. I wasn't expecting Blockton to get an honor and was also a tad surprised that Wilborn got honorable mention. That means 4 of the 5 seniors who play regularly for MU got some sort of BE honor.

Providence looks to have some promise for the future with the BE frosh of the year and another player on the all-frosh team.

This was the first year since 2012-13 (when UConn and Notre Dame were still in the Big East) that DePaul did not win or share the conference regular season title.

And they still came very close to sharing the title this year - that's an impressive run. They'll probably be picked close to the top again next season while Marquette (shared title with DePaul in 2018 and won outright title this year) will drop off quite a bit next season with 8 incoming freshmen.
