# - CAA Preseason Player of the Year

Delaware would probably be ranked higher, IMNSHO, if they hadn't lost their prime player, Nicole Enabosi, to an ACL before practice even officially started. Elon's drop is probably related to the loss of their player of the year, whose name escapes me at the moment, but she was kind of a moving fireplug who shot the lights out, plus they also lost post player Malaya Johnson, who killed everyone on the boards and could also score at will.

Didn't know Boogie Brozoski transferred from Michigan to Hofstra. I wonder why. I saw her a lot in high school.

Quote:
“I just wasn’t happy there. It had nothing to do with playing time,” said Brozoski, who averaged 17.1 minutes in 34 games as a freshman and 14.1 minutes in nine games this season. “I just felt like I wasn’t given a fair opportunity and I didn’t really fit in with the program there after a while.”

Quote:
Recruited heavily out of high school by Hofstra coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey, Brozoski said she felt comfortable with her and knew she could thrive if an opportunity arose there.

The idea is to play the game ... and I've never understood -- though obviously other people prefer it -- why someone would go where they would battle for minutes and never be the first choice when they have an option to be the player the team is built around.

Hope it works out at Hofstra ...
