Why?

Does LSU really believe 59-53 in conference over seven years is as good as they can do?

Or do they just not care about being competitive in WBB?

Personally I think they can, and deserve to, do better.

It's like many of these programs are getting worse for women's athletics now that the P5 has been put together. It's a real shame.

Necessities for staying employed as a women's college basketball coach:

1) Keep the graduation rate high;

2) Go .500;

3) Don't sleep with the players.

Unfortunately too true.

But while that might be understandable for some schools (like if we were talking about Ol Miss or Arky for example), it shouldn't be good enough for a program that just ten years ago was winning SEC titles and going to five straight final fours.

I thought LSU thought they were making a big time hire when they paid a lot of money to lure Fargas away from UCLA. So why when she doesn't perform do they accept her mediocrity? This isn't the level of performance they thought they were buying, is it?

Maybe it’s more like not getting better recruits? Does Coach Fargas does the recruiting herself, or does she assign one of her assistants to do that job?

Who cares? It's entirely her responsibility regardless of how she chooses to do it.

There are players like Moon Ursin, Kalani Brown, Kourtney Weber, etc, from her own state and as far as I know she didn't even get a sniff for LSU from these players who all went out of state to play.

Besides the AC's, they just hired Michaela Mabrey as "Director of Recruiting" over the summer, which I believe is a new position for LSU. Maybe they realize they need help in this regard.

When you get a good recruiter it just does EVERYTHING for your program. The Lady Vols have gotten much better recruits since Sharrona Reaves came on board. Maybe Mabrey can do the same for LSU. Let's wait and see.
