And to make Silky Johnson's point even more emphatic, in the
2012 Olympic Gold Medal Final, Candace Parker went into BEAST
mode, took over the game, and beat France by herself. It was the
single most dominant game by a woman on a ladies USA Basket-
ball Team.

And if ANYONE can show me a better game by a lady Team USA
player, show me the evidence.

Lisa Leslie, 1996 quarterfinals against Japan. She accounted for 35 points (16 made field goals, out of 21 attempts) in the 108-93 win.

In the 1996 semis against Australia, a 93-71 win for the U.S., Leslie put up 22 points and 13 rebounds. She shot 10-16 from the floor.

And in the gold medal game against Brazil, Leslie put up 29 points in the 111-87 win, shooting 12-14 from the floor and 5-5 from three free throw line.

For the tournament, Leslie averaged 19.5 ppg and 7.3 rpg in eight games, shooting over 66 percent from the floor. But in the medal round games (the teams who advanced to the quarterfinals and beyond), she averaged 28.67 points per game while shooting 74.51 percent from the floor.

Well done and I thank you for the information. However,
even with Parker's game against France downgraded to say
5th best game all-time. It STILL makes Silky Johnson's point.

Using scoring, Parker had 21 points (10-14 from the floor), along with 11 rebounds. There have been 11 occasions when USA players have had least 25 or more points in a game at the Olympics, including 3 by Lisa Leslie. As noted, Parker had 21.

In terms of points and rebounds Katrina McClain put up 18 points (8-14 shooting) and 16 rebounds in the 1996 QF against Japan, then put up 18 points (7-9 from the floor) and 15 rebounds in the SF against Australia. And going back to 1988, McClain had back-to-back games of 27 points (11-13 shooting) and 13 rebounds and 26 points (11-23 shooting) and 15 rebounds.

Also in 1996 (in the qualifying rounds), Teresa Edwards put up 20 points (7-8 from the floor), 15 assists, and 7 rebounds in a win against Australia.

Parker had a great game against France in the 2012 Olympic finals. But for the entire 2012 Olympics, she averaged 10.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Take away the final game, and she scored 9 ppg in the other 7 games.

Not commenting on why she was left off the 2016 squad or any subsequent USA Basketball teams, but in terms of individual performances at the Olympics, there are quite a few that can be considered the "single most dominant" or ones that could be candidates for such an accolade.

For the record, that actually had nothing to do with my point, which bedfellows are causing me to reconsider, anyway.

My comments were addressed to MrCam regarding his statement that Candace Parker had "the single most dominant game by a woman on a ladies USA Basketball Team."

I presented the case for Lisa Leslie at the 1996 Olympics, in response.

Mr. Cam then made a comment about Candace Parker's game against France being "downgraded to say 5th best game all-time.

In response, I referenced 11 occasions when a Team USA member scored 25 or more points (Parker had 21, four less of the demarcation point), plus a dominant, near-triple double game from Teresa Edwards and multiple double-doubles by Katrina McClain in 1988 and 1996.

As an aside, I only considered performances at the Olympic Games. I did not research Team USA members and their respective performances at FIBA World Championships/World Cups.
