Hmmm. Y'all are reading a LOT into, what....social media feeds of school girls? Cuz they've played together a few summers, blah blah, doesn't a marriage make.

*I* predict that next year, after UConn doesn't make the Elite Eight, those schoolgirls might rethink their school choices, right after they rethink their nail polish colors.

And again....think about it.....a kid with a first name like "Azzi" going to UConn is about as karmically wise as a kid with a first name like "Taurasi" going to Stanford. Just. Not. Right. Laughing

Yes, that was a nice touch. Especially considering Clare was a BC grad!

Kelly Graves went all international in 2019 but he has focused his 2020 vision on some of the top preps across the US. He has a verbal from Indiana guard Sydney Parish and has hosted an OV from Angela Dugalić, 6-4 W, Out of IL and will host NJs Kylee Watson, a 6'4" F. All of these kids are in HGs top 40 rankings for 2020,

With the resignation of Hatchel, Loyal McQueen has re-opened her recruitment. She's ranked in the top 25 HGs 2020 list and she's from South Carolina.

Kennedy Todd-Williams is another top 25 recruits who has verballed UNC.

Watched her at the Illinois State Tournament. She is REALLY good and will be a huge weapon alongside the Sabaly sisters. Great get by KG and the Ducks.

I'm surprised how low this thread went considering its high recruiting season. Oregon is quietly putting together arguably the best recruiting class in 2020.

Te Hina Pao Pao, 5'9" PG (Hoopgurlz #40, Prospect Nation #14) out of San Diego, committed on May 4.

https://www.oregonlive.com/recruiting/2019/05/te-hina-paopao-5-star-pg-commits-to-oregon-ducks-over-oregon-state-ucla-others.html.

Maddie Scherr, 5'11" guard and reigning Kentucky Gatorade POY (HG #24, PN #25) committed yesterday.

https://www.oregonlive.com/recruiting/2019/05/maddie-scherr-nations-no-25-prospect-and-projected-5-star-recruit-commits-to-oregon-ducks.html

Pao Pao was at one point the best player in her class in California before getting injured. Saw video of Scherr and she has shades of Ionescu in her playmaking.

Awesome. She'll make a lovely duck! Cool

Edited to note: Kylee is listed as a 4-star recruit on ESPN, though I doubt the discrepancy is significant....I can never tell how they're splitting hairs on the different sites' re: awarding stars. Razz

ASGR RECRUITING RANKINGS - ACC COMMITMENTS
Class of 2020
Update – June 6, 2019 (previous rankings and changes from last update on October 9, 2018 noted in parentheses)

9TR. Elizabeth Balogun (Louisville) (transfer from Georgia Tech)
11. Natalija Marshall (Notre Dame)
18. Allison Campbell (Notre Dame) (down from #13)
21TR. Elizabeth Dixon (Louisville) (transfer from Georgia Tech)
50TR. Kianna Smith (Louisville) (transfer from California)
63. Shelby Calhoun (Virginia Tech)
66. Elle Sutphin (NC State) (up from #83)
91. Anya Poole (North Carolina)
151. Nevaeh Dean (Virginia Tech)
174. Nevaeh Brown (Wake Forest)
188TR. Asiah Jones (Virginia Tech) (transfer from USC)
247. Aliah McWhorter (Wake Forest)

NOTE: The following player was previously ranked by ASGR and listed as a Louisville commitment, but is no longer listed as such:
-- Merissah Russell (Louisville) (was ranked #23 by ASGR as of my last update on October 9, 2018)
Russell is still committed to Louisville, as of May 19, 2019, per an article by Louisville beat reporter Jody Demling, via Louisville’s 247Sports site. It is possible that ASGR will rank and list her as an international player, since she is Canadian.

NOTE: The following committed player is not listed by ASGR among the commitments for her respective school in the updated 2020 class rankings:
-- Kennedy Todd-Williams (North Carolina)

NOTE: The following player had previously given a verbal commitment to an ACC school, but has since re-opened her recruitment:
-- Loyal McQueen (previously committed to North Carolina; was ranked #49 by ASGR as of my last update on October 9, 2018)

#TR must be the transfer player's ASGR rank, not in the class of 2020, but in her earlier high school class.

Louisville is certainly in the transfer game big time. Kim Mulkey said that transfer players are the world WCBB is now in, and that certainly seems to be increasingly true even at power programs.

That is correct, GlennMacGrady. The number was the player's rank in her original high school class, with the TR representing that she is a transfer.

So "9TR. Elizabeth Balogun (Louisville)" means that Louisville has a commitment from Elizabeth Balogun, whom ASGR ranked 9th in her high school class (2018).

And yes, the transfer game is on, including for UConn, who took Murray State grad transfer Evelyn Adebayo and Tennessee transfer Evina Westbrook in the past month.

Some early verbals, per Raoul:

Maranda Nyborg, 6'3 C from Bethel, CT (Bethel HS) announced her commitment to Fordham of the A-10/

Kylie Strop, 5'7 PG, River Falls HS (WI) verbally committed to North Dakota State (Summit).

Lindsey Syrek, 6'2 F out of University HS, Mt Carmel, IN, announced her commitment to NJIY of the A-Sun.

Katie Horyna, 5'9 PG, Liberal (KS) HS verballed to Abilene Christian (Southland).

Oregon better watch out, we’re coming back for our perch.
