Watching this game im not sure Ionescus a sure fire #1 pick in 2019. 2020 no doubt but next yrs talent i cant say for sure yet with players like Ariel Atkins comimg around.

Well they do have 7 of their players in the Finals or taking a break after their exit.

Canada has 0 players under the same scenario.

So Geno says what's important is for the coach to have the players he/she really wants. Oh, but of course he had nothing to do with picking the players on his team. Rolling Eyes Sure.

56-48 CAN end of third.

As bad as USA has played, they’re still in this.
Canada has fouled a lot, so maybe that’ll catch up to them in the fourt.

So half of these players should be cut. But we're likely only adding in Griner, Hayes, Stewart and Taurasi. Doubt Delle Donne plays and possibly Bird.

Yep and what really pissed me off is the seeming innocent comment about figuring out who the next players, particularly guards will be...AS IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE 2 FULL OLYMPICS to start integrating and grooming new guards. Bird and Taursai did not get baptized by fire when they became a part of USA basketball. They were talented yes but were absolutely integrated over time and mentored by the likes of Staley, Edwards, et al.

Add this to year round play and the scheduling of all of this and it will be quite interesting to see who we end up with going forward. Glad to see the ladies showing some life and woooo what a block by Liz a few plays ago!

Btw, did we ever get any clear word about Maya, Chelsea or Skylar?

This is worrisome if some of those don’t play as I don’t think Canada is all that. Ionescu is way too slow and not a PG and she cannot guard anyone. The other guards also have issues and other than Plum hitting a couple, we have no shooters to spread the floor.
