Excited for game 5. Hopefully Bird can play.

Stewie looks exhausted.

If Bird hadn't gone down I think Seattle would have taken this. Not even so much for Bird's presence on the floor, though that would have helped. Mostly the mood of the Storm changed drastically after that.

I hope like hell the officiating is better Tuesday. I don't think it decided the game here but it made for some ugly basketball IMO.

If Sue plays we win Tuesday if not Mercury win it. Stewie couldn’t get over hitting Sue. We can’t play a full game.

I find it odd that they stopped play when Bird went down so quick. I am glad they did, but it seems like often, they let it play out, not ending the position?

Great job by the MVP Rolling Eyes who single handedly and elbowedly killed this game for the Storm.

What a game! I nearly had a heart attack watching the last few minutes.

Kudos to Seattle for coming back and tying it but they had a huge collapse and Stewie looked like a deer in headlights as did Lloyd.

Bonner was sensational and basically unguardable down the stretch. Griner was an absolute monster. But it was Little’s offensive rebound that sealed the deal.

With Seattle never losing two in a row this year, Phoenix is proving to be a ridiculously tough out for any team left.

Diana is 13-0 in winner take all games, and to win 3 in a row against the to[p seed would be unprecedented in this league. Seattle will be pissed and ready to come out firing but I like our chances Smile

Lets hope so. She has played a day after she broke her nose in the Euroleague final 4 in the past so she is used to it. Alsoshe looked focussed and locked in during those huddles so hopefully they cant put her in the concussion protocol

Yep, Bird could have gotten Stewart easier shots, changed the tempo from time to time to keep PHO defense on their toes, etc... Canada is more of a scoring PG... but it's not like they got blown out without Bird, so they had their chances... Confused

Storm hit a lot of lucky shots in the first quarter, but were out-played and out-defended in each of the last three quarters. Phoenix has three oft-unstoppable players; Storm, one. That's the story.

She didn’t even get a shot off though. Her drive underneath the basket gave her no chance at a shot.

I am quite sure that Bird will play (with mask) on Tuesday. With Phoenix's history in winner take all and 4 awful 4th quarters (94-47 total) I don't think the Storm can win without a double digit lead going into it.

It should be fun.

We gave up a 19 point lead, a 16 point lead ( i think) and now a 17pt lead. When are we going to learn from this? Yes the Storm had an excuse this game with Bird going down but still.

Laughing imma keep mine, but I’ll put the needle away this game.

(Although, I’ll be fair, I think she knows how to play against her old team. And she’s done good.)

Honestly, great job by the Storm. I was confident we’d win when Sue went out, Seattle was a lot more resilient than I expected. Canada has really been exceptional this series. Had she not went down, Seattle probably blows Phoenix out..

Refs were exactly what was expected of a Price game. If you hit hard, he won’t call it. Kind of surprised Phoenix handled it better than Seattle did, but DT just avoided contact, and Seattle didn’t have Sue to calm them down. Really though, don’t understand why one of the poor team’s has had him every game.

DT played decoy a lot of the game. I’m guessing she’s not a decoy in the next game, she also has played better on the road. But my favorite play is still “pass it to Brittney.”

DB has been superwoman this series. Occasionally, a kind of dumb superwoman, but still superwoman.

Britt was dominant. She needs to be that way next game too. She’s grown ups a lot during these playoffs, and is really a spectacular player.

So, Dracula returns to a winner take all game. (She needs to show the hell up though.for more than one quarter.) Won’t surprise me if Sue brings the crosses and garlic, though.

I thought the same thing. For a minute there I thought why is she taking the 3 now when they just weren't falling! However I am glad the Merc pulled it out but I am sorry Sue got hurt.
