Lynetta Kizer I guess will take the place of Dantas?

I think it’s a way to taunt Reeve for stealing Dantas away. If Kizer has a great year, even better than Dantas’, Reeve will never hear the end of it. Now Reeve has to worry about that. Wink

If Dantas takes off like Howard did in Seattle, Reeve will probably get WNBA Executive of the Year and the Atlanta exec will never hear the end of it.....

I could definitely live with that. But it’s a little different situation. It was totally Reeve’s choice to let Howard go. Atlanta apparently didn’t have much choice but to let Dantas go, unless they wanted to trade one of their other guaranteed contracts. If you want to get down on ATL for giving out too many guaranteed contracts and not having any left in reserve, I suppose you could go there. But considering how ATL quickly put together a successful roster, it’d be kinda hard to criticize.

I agree. I promise I won't go all SpaceJunkie on them if Dantas suddenly becomes Natsha Howard 2.0 Laughing

Or if Kizer becomes the 6th woman of the year.

No, because there is no obvious likely curse associated with Dantas (unless it's whatever team gets rid of her/lets her go ends up winning the WNBA title), and the Lynx having money to sign Dantas (and other players) only proves that Reeve's #1 priority last year was to tank the season and make sure Sue Bird ends up with more titles than Lindsay Whalen, Breanna Stewart more titles than Maya Moore, and Natasha Howard more titles than Rebekkah Brunson.

Renee Montgomery will supposedly appear on Sister Circle today at 12:00 pm ET. Appears to be a talk show on TVOne.

She played in the WNBA for the Stars and Mystics. Does seem to have had a better WNBA career than her fellow Dookie (or is it Duchess) AKA Secret Weapon.

Oh brother.... I know who she is. That was my cute way of introducing her as the Euroleague wing of the year.

Peters problem in college was either too much focus or a problem with her peripheral vision. She would get herself into too many double teams and attempt to score rather than pass out. It also affected her defense as well. You can mitigate the problem by constantly moving your head. She had all the other skills though.

So Dream fans - who do you want tonight? ESPN-W has Dream taking Han Xu in first round and Anriel Howard in the second. I could see it the other way around, esp. since Han Xu is unlikely to show up this year and Dream need help at 3. My first choice is Cunningham, but we'll see what happens.

A few mocks have Arike falling to 11. Other Mocks have Dream going for Shepard (I don't think so in either case. Arike won't be there and Shepards seems like more of a second round pick for a position that is pretty well covered.)

It's impossible to say without knowing who will be available.

But yeah - ten teams are a lot to get though.

Apparently not.
Crying or Very sad

So 2 big centers in the draft, another one coming from China (maybe) - could this whole thing be designed to light a fire under Imani? Or to free her up for a trade?

Li Yueru won't be going over until 2021. Clearly a draft and stash player, otherwise probably will be drafted higher.

I was hoping you would know whether she would be coming over. In her case, it's probably a worthwhile gamble and in 2 years she will probably be a much better player.

What about Sun - do you think she will still be coming this year?

Why sign her if she’s not coming over?
