That was one of the best games I’ve seen in a long time, and Diana’s late game heroics were some of her best ever. She’s just incredible and even most fervent criticizers can’t downplay her greatness in these clutch moments.

I hate to whine about the refs but 1-2 calls going Seattle’s way towards the end basically seals the game for them. If Phoenix/Diana had possession with 7 seconds left, my money is on Phoenix stealing the game. They should’ve at least had an opportunity. It’s about time the WNBA upgrades their officiating, if only for these playoff games where every call matters and we have world class athletes putting on a show for us.

Now that PHX is down 2-0 I think it’s basically over for them. They may steal one in Phoenix but this series would’ve much more competitive and entertaining after a 1-1 tie. Kudos to Bird and Stewie on great games.

Accept when the Storm take it from them, 2010 comes to mind 😁

I got back from the Dream game and looked at the score - it was lopsided I decided to go to bed on time. When I checked the score this morning I couldn't believe it went to OT. Pretty amazing comeback by Phoenix.

Only in games when both teams could be eliminated.

I knew there was a loophole somewhere, else the Mercury would have been champs every year. Razz

It’s still an interesting stat.

To put it simply, when the rest of Taurasi’s team can compete (ie: not at a huge disadvantage...see..Lynx, Minnesota for the past 5 seasons) she wins.

Which is why this series seems strange. The storm are a great team...but the Phoenix team that showed up to CT and played against Dallas can beat them.

So although I still feel they are underdogs..this isn’t over until it’s over. It’s rare to see a Taurasi team, where Taurasi is playing as she is..not survive.

On the other side, I can’t help but think the team is exhausted. Hoping the extra rest helps.

I wish Dee would stop spitting on our logo, twice now after both games. It’s disgusting and someone could slip and end their season. Third time for her, sore loser.

That is such a weird habit.

I mean, it’s no more disgusting than the sweat that ends up on the floor..but srsly, who spits inside?

Maybe something she developed playing soccer, and never got out of..

Doing it after the game makes that less likely.

She's been doing that for a long time

Highly unlikely, she does it right on our logo, I would accept your excuse if she just spit anywhere’s.

Toliver can hock major lugeys. With her it’s probably just a buildup of phlegm.

Storm fans have been complaining about this for a while though, and it’s not always on your logo. Laughing

Edit: lil mopey does it too? Odd.

Yes - like if the Merc miraculously win both games in Phx, the 5th game would be an "elimination/winner take all" game. Obviously the Merc have been eliminated in playoff series. Just not when the game winner goes on and the loser goes home.
