Dillard is at least a week behind everybody else. Itā€™s not going to be easy to catch up.

true. especially since Reeve intimated that she wasn't the quickest to pick stuff up.

Not sure if itā€™s that or the fact that most of the players arrived at least a week ahead of her. Kinda puts her behind the 8-ball. If you want it badly enough, show it by finding a way to show up early.

Well, we have the frontcourt depth to withstand being without CP3 for a while, but not the way I wanted us to start the season, especially as CP3 does a lot of different things that our other bigs don't do. Then, when she comes back, you need to adjust to her being back. I think with her being out, Fisher starts a more "traditional lineup" of Gray-Jones-Beard-Ogwumike-Ogwumike. First off the bench is probably TRP and Lavender/Vadeeva.

Oh well, expect the worst, hope for the best! Go Sparks!

I feel like starting TRP would be an offensive liability, especially coupled with Beard. I think they slide Beard to the 3 and start Jones at the 2.

Maybe consider a Hill for Lavender trade?

Wow the Sparks just re-signed Riquna Williams? Yeah, lets show all those little girls that itā€™s ok to break and enter your ex girlfriendā€™s place with a gun in your hand. WTG there Sparks. Rolling Eyes

This officially 100% makes me an LA Sparks hater

Get ready for the backlash, unless all those reports about her were totally fabricated.

No chance Dillard, Mabrey or Wiese stick now unless a post is traded.

Dillard was brought in for a look for the future, not to sign, Penny said as much in the press conference, I assume the other new ones too from her comments. Williams will have to be cleared by the league, don't know how long that will take as its an ongoing investigation but my head is exploding as what this does to us in the PR sense. TRP could also be gone as she really isn't what the sparks need as she is not an offensive threat in spreading the floor and I am guessing they got her for nothing so she could easily be sent for a pick or just waived.

I couldnā€™t find any of Tolerā€™s comments on Dillard, but I know she likes TRP. And sheā€™s at vet minimum too!

After getting arrested, Williams is probably happy to sign for vet minimum. Good way to get a player cheap. Just have to get arrested. Wink

That didnā€™t have any long term effects on Griner and Glory Johnsonā€™s salaries tho. šŸ¤”

I see no reason in hell why Samuelson would make it before Weise. Heck Mabrey would be an upgrade lol. All 4 are sort of 12th mannish. I think weise could really contribute on a different squad. Katie Geralds 2.0

Assuming 12, with the new Williams signing and Parker's injury:

Gray/Jones
Williams/Wiese OR Samuelson OR Mabrey
Beard/Ruffin-Pratt
N. Ogwumike/Lavender
C. Ogwumike/Vadeeva/Brown
Injured: Parker

When Parker returns:

Gray/Jones
Beard/Williams/Wiese OR Samuelson OR Mabrey
Parker/Ruffin-Pratt
N. Ogwumike/Lavender
C. Ogwumike/Vadeeva/Brown

For the 12th woman, I pick Wiese over Samuelson because Wiese has more guard skills, could run the 1 in a pinch. I pick Wiese over Mabrey because as bad as Wiese's defense is, Mabrey's is worse.
